I needed a study that would relate to the kids. I have one 7 year old and the rest are 9-10 years of age. This study was very age appropriate, matter fact even my 7 year old was able to relate and memorize the scriptures. The lesson was very basic yet very deep in topic. The kids engaged in conversation in the 5 areas of conduct, speech, faith, love and purity. I made worksheets with crosswords, word searches and visual's to supplement the lesson. By the end of the study "They got it!" They understood what it means to be an example while having strength and courage! Thank you Heidi for taking the time to put this lesson together and making it available!
This is an excellent Bible study / Devotion for young people or families. I did this with my 9 and 12 year old children. It is a topic that is always relevant and written in an understandable way - the kids could even do this on their own, but it is great that it initiated amazing conversation. Although it is aimed at 9-12 year olds, it can be adapted to younger or even older kids. Doing it together sparked great discussion. I am going to print it off and let the kids go through it again - this time with a journal where they can write their answers, thoughts and prayers down. The children weren't the only ones learning and growing either. I have already downloaded another devotion written by Heidi. Blessings,

I liked the format of this study and would recommend it. I will be looking into other studies that this author has put together. I do wish it covered a bit more, but really, it's a good amount for study/discussion for this age range.
This is really a great Bible study for this age group. My kids both enjoyed it and got a lot out of it. I really liked that they had to look many of the verses up on their own as it was good practice for learning the Bible, however for some verses we had to look it up in a gew different versions in order for the questions to really make sense. The recommended version may have been mentioned on the introductory pages but if it is then I didn't see it. Overall I would recommend this to anyone with children in the 9-12 year age group.
