Like an old blanket or much loved sweater, The Blessing is the kind of book you will want to wrap yourself up in and keep forever, no matter how tattered and worn it's pages may get. I have read this book about 5 times now and would happily start it again tomorrow (despite finishing it for the fifth time just a few days ago!) I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This is a fun, quirky and sometimes unbelievable romance. The characters, setting and story line make you want to live in the little town of Abernathy.

It appears as if everything can’t be fixed with money, but it sure is fun trying or at least reading about trying.

I know this is an old book. Since it is, I thought I must have read it. When I bought my 1st kindle, I gradually transferred all my books. I didn't remember this one, so decided to read it. I couldn't finish it. I stopped about page 50. I only read that much because of who wrote it. I figured it had to get better. It didn't. It's ridiculous. Since I love her writing, I'm guessing this is just an oddity.
