Just when you think a series couldn't get any better, along comes another book and every one is even better than the last. Like all the stories in this series, The Billionaire’s Angel can be read as a standalone book, but if you read them in sequence you’ll get background and a catch up to the other characters, plus more clues relating to two tragic events when the Winters were children. I'm avoiding specific details on this in my review because I don't want to include spoilers, but it is partly due to this that Gabe is a billionaire. If you want to understand this better start at The Billionaire's Pet, or even better at the beginning of the series.
The Billionaire’s Angel introduced two new characters to me. Gage, who has been away on military service in previous books, returns home after more than a decade with PTSD and survivor's guilt. Sophie is part nurse, part companion, part wrangler who has moved in to keep mischief loving Aunt Amelia in good health and out of serious trouble.
It's such a treat to have characters that aren't shallow or one dimensional, and Ivy Layne's are always multi-faceted which makes them so much more appealing to read than many books in this genre. Sophie’s ex was very controlling and she is still suffering the after effects of an abusive relationship. Gabe has his own demons to fight after being held in captivity and tortured for six months prior to coming home. Both suffer from insomnia, and it is their sleepless wandering around the house at night that brings them together. Throw in some mutual attraction, intrigue, the irrepressible and entertaining Aunt Amelia and her pranks, gripping writing and you have yourself an excellent page turner. I like a slower burn romance, with more to the story than just insta-lust with minimal plot, so the mystery element and Sophie and Gage’s back stories made this a perfect read for me. I couldn’t put it down and finished it in one sitting. Now I can’t wait for the next book in the series. As ever with Ivy Layne’s books, the writing is self assured and the proof reading first class so there is nothing to distract you from the excellent storytelling.
I definitely recommend this book, as I do the rest of the series. As a dedicated reader of Ivy Layne’s books I’ve bought or downloaded on Kindle Unlimited all her previous books. This is my first advanced reader copy from Ivy Layne, which I received to voluntarily give an honest review of the book. I received my ARC via Booksprout.

Love this series about the Winters family. Every book is just as fantastic. Gage has been gone from the family for 13 years and returns meeting Sophie his great cousins nurse. Two broken soles helping each other heal and finding love.

The Billionaire's AngelReviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 August 2017
Book 7 and the last of Scandals of the Bad Boy Billionaires, no, seems there's another. Dam!!! I hate waiting for another book, I'm too impatient, I waited ages for 6 & 7, just finished and see blurb for 8 at the back, noooooo, gotta wait now. This is Gage & Sophie's story, they are both victims, can't sleep at night, the memories jump back in. Gage was military, captured he spent 6 months in a cell and being tortured. Sophie's a nurse, employed to watch over a diabetic eccentric aunt. She escaped a brutal marriage to a madman when he died in an accident. Gage & Sophie get to know each other during sleepless night time wanderings, each understanding the others pain....

If you love hot romance with suspense and mystery this is a must read - loved itReviewed in Canada on 22 August 2017
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I have read the entire Billionaire series by Ivy Layne and loved each book, but The Billionaire's Angel is my new favourite. I wondered about Gage for a long time and finally het gets his own story. This book has everything you could want in a mystery romance - intrigue, mystery, action. And very hot romance. Gage was taken with Sophie from the moment they met. Both having traumatic pasts they leaned on each other while the worst kind of danger was never far. If you love beautiful love stories filled with danger and suspense this is the book you need to get.
