★✩★✩★ 5 Fab Re-Release Stars ★✩★✩★

He is the last person I need to be talking to, and the second person I've wanted to talk to since this happened. I know exactly who is standing before me, and I know without a doubt that if I let him back in, I will be hurt and betrayed all over again.
Josie Sommers has been through more than her fair share of heartache over the past several years, and while she has gotten through it, she has been left with some deep rooted scars. In the wake of her most recent tragedy, the passing of her Daddy, she is confronted by more pain from her past in the form of ex-boyfriend Blake. He betrayed her like no other and he is the last person she wants to see, but he is determined to get Josie to give him a second chance, an opportunity to make things right and possibly fall in love with him again. Josie is lonely, depressed, and broken; what she really wants is the comfort of her life-long best friend and the man she fell in love with long ago, but Seth abandoned her and is half way across the country living his life without her, so she decides to maybe give Blake a chance. She doesn't know if she'll ever be able to forgive him, but whats more is, she doesn't know if he will ever be able to forgive her once he finds out what she has been hiding from him. Relationships cannot be built on lies, but what happens when the truth may be more than they can handle; is forgiveness really possible?
Seth had saved me. He'd saved me from Michael. He'd saved me from my fear of intimacy. He'd saved me from everything. Seth is more than half my soul. Without him, I'm barely living.
I read and fell in love with the original version of this story at the beginning of the year, so when the opportunity came up to check out the re-vamped edition I was all over it... I was not disappointed. Not only did the story get an edit overhaul, plot holes were filled in and some additional scenes were added making the experience unforgettable. The journey these characters go through is hard, messy, painful, and yet it was beautiful to watch them evolve... well, most of them anyway. I was never really a fan of Blake (#TeamSeth) and that didn't really change this time around. We got a deeper look into what Josie went through and why she made the decisions she made, I may not agree with why she handled some things the way she did, but I at least understood where she was coming from. Seth will always hold my heart and even though I got how much pain he was in, it still pissed me off that he could throw a life-long friendship out the window without even a good-bye. Josie may have held some blame in the demise of their relationship, as well as Blake, but Seth wasn't blameless. The dude is still hott-as-hell though, sexy, funny, dependent and loyal. What's not to love? I almost forgot about the WTF ending from the first time around and even though I have read the second book, I still found myself screaming at my kindle a bit. My only question now is ~ are we gonna get a re-vamped version of 'That's a Lie' next? And if so, WHEN?! Until then, I am off to re-read the version I have cause I need me some more Seth. Victoria Klahr proved to me once again why she is sitting pretty on my One-Click Addiction list, even though she has me barely hanging onto my sanity waiting to see where this series will take us next.
Darkness has been a constant in my life, but I've always been able to pull out of it and find happiness. I'll make it through this too. I make my own happiness; I need to remember that.
