I love alpha's those take charge men who just can't help it, but who when they are with those they care about are marshmallows inside but still don't get them angry because they will react and you will be punished.
Well Alpha Marlix is like this only he doesn't know it, having grown up in a culture where women are simply breeders and you don't have an emotional connection with them, he is totally flummoxed when he mets Tara an earth girl with pink hair and tattoos, how can he have such feelings and what does he do with them.
Tara knows she shouldn't feel for Marlix after all he kidnapped her, but the "big baboon" has grown on her despite all their differences does she finally gave a chance at love. I loved Tara's character, her strength even though in some ways it was simply running away, to move to an alien culture and one that had such different views shows a lot of courage, and this is shown repeatedly through the story as she stands up for what she believes but also having the courage to change for the man she loves.
Dak and Omra from Breeder are present as are Anika and Jergan who you also met previously, it's like catching up with old friends.
A romance set on another planet with alpha's and spankings for those who misbehave, all woven up in a wonderful tale of love.
I received a free copy for an honest review.
Terran is the second book in the Breeder series but you don't have to have read the first book in order to enjoy the second. Although, reading the first book with give you greater insight into the immersive world of the Breeder series. Be warned, though. This book is not for everyone. Some people may become offended by the alien culture and the social standing and treatment of women in the world of the Breeder series. With that said though, I thought the book was a quick sci-fi romance read with sexual tension between the characters that smoldered off the pages.
