He claims to be 'internationally recognised' for the education of boys. As an administrator and principal in richly privileged boys' schools, he is now indicated in the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse as someone who appeared to rate his personal reputation and career progression as being of at least the same importance as child welfare.
For genuine and modern child-rearing guidance, you want somebody who walks the talk, not a hypocrite. In any case, how applicable to 21st century family needs is the 'expert' advice of someone who's built his career on conditioning upper-class lads in single-sex Christian schools?

Especially good for those of us with maturing teenagersReviewed in the United States on 15 October 2014
Sensible, clear and practical wisdom for dads (and mums) of all stripes. Especially good for those of us with maturing teenagers. Helpful summaries at the end of each chapter. Most useful book I have read for Dads who need to find a way to express their desire and vision for their son's life. Cannot recommend highly enough.
