Product Description

"Elisabeth Naughton has created a world dark, dangerous, and absolutely addicting." –Christina Dodd, New York Times bestselling author

Demitrius has done all he could to protect Isadora, his soul mate, from himself. But when she is kidnapped, he'll stop at nothing to get her back—even opening his broken heart in order to save them both.

DEMETRIUS—He's the hulking, brooding warrior even his fellow Guardians avoid. Too dark. Too damaged. And given his heritage, he knows it's best to keep everyone at arm's length.

Isadora is missing. The words pound through his head like a frantic drumbeat. For her own protection, Demetrius did all he could to avoid the fragile princess, his soul mate. And now she's gone—kidnapped. To get her back, he'll have to go to the black place in his soul he's always shunned.

As daemons ravage the human realm and his loyalty to the Guardians is put to the ultimate test, Demetrius realizes that Isadora is stronger than anyone thought.

And finally letting her into his heart may be the only way to save them both.

"An incredibly fresh spin on Greek mythology that is full of humor, action, passion, and a storyline that keeps you from putting down the book." —Fresh Fiction on Marked

4.0 out of 5 stars I Honestly Never Expected to Fall for this Couple 10 June 2013

Oh Demetrius. He was not a nice guy, he worked hard at making sure people knew it. He wanted people to keep their distance and so far it had worked well for him. Even his fellow Guardians watched themselves around him. As far as Isadora went, she was terrified of him - just like he wanted her to be. That never bothered me too much though because she wasn't exactly a fun loving character herself. I always felt sorry for her because of the impossible situation she was in but I never really liked her. So how did Elisabeth Naughton take two characters that up until now weren't my favorites at all and turn them into a couple that I could even remotely care about? Brilliantly!

Okay, so it still wasn't instant love. Demetrius had a lot to make up for. It only took a couple of pages of being in his head to start to understand. The transformation of Isadora was almost as surprising as Demetrius'. They were both strong, witty and my heart ached for both of them. I loved Isadora's new found strength and Demetrius' vulnerability that he usually kept hidden from everyone. He was broken and determined to protect Isadora from his dark side. I never expected this couple to become one of my favorites, but now I can't wait to see what happens with them next. Trust me, their story is far from over.

Even though this story centered around Demetrius and Isadora, there was a lot going on around them. There were losses, surprises and secretes revealed. I love the glimpses readers were given of past characters. With each new book we get to know them all just a little bit more.

Tempted was beyond intense, but it was still laced with the wit and humor of the previous books. Even so, by the end the fate of more than one character was still left unknown. It's a good thing that I have the next book ready and waiting. Enraptured is next and since Orpheus is one of my favorite characters I can't wait to where his book leads. Knowing Orpheus, it's bound to be an interesting ride.

This was another great book in this series. I always like the guardians and the fact that you get a look into the mythology that it is based on. The characters are all very tortured in one way or another whether they deserve to be or not, this just makes them seem more human. The story moves along at the perfect pace allowing for changes in venue and character as they fill us in on what is happening. The language never fails to entertain with words that seem to be pulled out of the past. I was pulled in and not allowed to stop except for those emotional moments I could not help it.

Isadora is a princess who always finds herself in trouble. She has been kidnapped and is about to be sent to the enemy, Atalanta, for what she is not sure. The witches, one of whom is her handmaiden, have given her a potion so she can be taken a man she does not want. Their plans are thwarted when the guardians, including Demetrius, arrive to rescue her and are met with serious resistance. When Demetrius takes her and Gryphon through a portal they end up in the last place they should and find themselves taken captive by Atalanta.

Demetrius has been hateful to Isadora all of her life but the person he truly hates is himself. Demetrius has been hard on himself for something that he could not change anymore than anyone could their origin.

I am so into these stories because I feel so deeply about the characters. These stories have intrigue, romance, hatred, myth, warriors, damsels in distress, and heroes galore. Definitely give it a try.

It's so nice to have a story that has it all. A strong plot and storyline. Sexy badass men and females who don't give it up every five pages. This story will grab you from the beginning. Take you on a emotional rollercoaster ride that leaves you wanting more. Don't worry unlike other series that leave you wondering if the couple makes it and you have to buy the next book to see what happens. You will know the fate of the main couple. But you can't wait to find out who will be the next to find his soul mate. This is a series you will love. Wish there were more series like this one.
5.0 out of 5 stars The Best So Far! 3 July 2013

I think this was the best in the series so far.

Demetrius is determined to protect Isadora from everything including himself if it's the last thing he does. He has done everything in his power to keep Isa away from him and protect not only her and their realm, but earth too. But, when they're trapped alone for a week, he has a real hard time keeping his distance.

Isadora has always been considered weak, not able to stand up to or for anyone or anything. She's trying to change, doing little things to show her defiance. When she needs strength and determination the most, will she be able to fortify herself against so many to save what truly matters?

Demetrius and Isadora have fought for so long and coming together may prove to be the end; can they prove that being together could be the salvation everyone has been looking for?

I have to say I think that this series is getting better as it goes along. Tempted focuses on the Guardian Demetrius, his soul mate, and his secret. I liked the way Isadora finally came into her own, but Demetrius stole the show. One of my favorite type of characters is the brooding damaged male whose game is completely thrown off by a female. That is Demetrius all over. He is big, strong, dark, and cruel, but in the presence of little 'ol Isadora he's...well maybe not an awkward, blushing teenager, but definitely not himself. It makes me smile. The smex was pretty amped up too. There was no lack of steam here. I did get tired of the Robinson Cruso routine after a while. I thought the plot stalled for a little bit, but not long enough for me to consider dropping it or anything.
