*6 out of 5 BRANDING stars!!! THE BEST BOOK OF 2013!* Prima Donna

“My life was complete. Happy, content, everything neat and perfect.
Then it all changed.
I was sold.”

Tess Snow has everything she ever wanted: one more semester before a career in property development, a loving boyfriend, and a future dazzling bright with possibility.

For their two year anniversary, Brax surprises Tess with a romantic trip to Mexico. Sandy beaches, delicious cocktails, and soul-connecting sex set the mood for a wonderful holiday. With a full heart, and looking forward to a passion filled week, Tess is on top of the world.

But lusty paradise is shattered.

Kidnapped. Drugged. Stolen. Tess is forced into a world full of darkness and terror.

Captive and alone with no savior, no lover, no faith, no future, Tess evolves from terrified girl to fierce fighter. But no matter her strength, it can’t save her from the horror of being sold.

Can Brax find Tess before she’s broken and ruined, or will Tess’s new owner change her life forever?
A New Adult Dark Contemporary Romance, not suitable for people sensitive to grief, slavery, and hard to read subjects. A story about finding love in the strangest of places, a will of iron that grows from necessity, and forgiveness that may not be enough.

Tears of Tess is everything that's missing from Fifty Shades of Grey. A man who manages to be unnerving in a sexy way? Check. A heroine with spunk? Check? Complex emotions? Double check. A believable emotional journey? Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!

I listened to the Audio version of this book. I Love Pepper Winters but I could not get in to this story. The first half was really good but then I just wanted to slap Tess and tell her to stop being such a push over

I absolutely LOVE the cover, it's just gorgeous!

Ah-f*%king-mazing!!!!! (Sorry for the language but it so called for it!!) This book just blew me away, I've so been taken to the dark side and I LIKE it!!! lol. It's now over 24hrs since I finished the book and I'm still thinking about it, I haven't even attempted to read anything new yet.

This is Pepper Winters debut novel and she has done such a brilliant job, she has a beautifully unique writing style that really opens up to you and you become apart of the story. Every emotion Tess felt, I felt. Every intense, scary, painful, exciting, thrilling, smouldering, panty wetter moment (Sorry, but there are many in this story LOL), you're feeling it too. Just the Prologue alone had me hooked, but with every turn of the page I got in deeper and deeper.

Tess, she's living a normal, plain old life, she's in love and happy. But there's something that she's been suppressing for awhile now; Tess has dark fantasies (who doesn't have those to some extent). She's completely ashamed of these thoughts and feelings, and hates herself for them.

Tess's boyfriend Brax (the "normal" type boyfriend) decides to surprise her with a romantic getaway to Cancun, Mexico and this is when she thought she could show him a little of the real Tess.

Excitement soon turns into complete and utter fear, after having a day of adventure they stop at a cafe and Tess knew before she even walked into the place that something bad was gonna happen.

Can you imagine being kidnapped and than sold to a complete stranger, someone who could do anything they wanted to you and you couldn't do a damn thing?! I was so scared for her, I went misty eyed so many times I wanted to jump in and kick these psycho's butts.

This book is like a cheesecake I'm mortally allergic to but decide to eat the entire thing anyway - despite the consequences.

I found this book difficult to review, which is why I've held off writing one. It's not so much the review itself as the star rating. I'd happily give Ms Winters five stars for suspense and character development - the story alone deserves it.

Tiny details, like the chapter titles and headings make this a lovely ebook to read - unlike many, utilitarian formats that are just about words on a page. It's made me wonder why more ebook authors don't follow this beautiful example.

If you're even the slightest bit interested in BDSM erotica, Tess will certainly whet your appetite for more - particularly from this author. Graphic without reusing the same phrases every time, the sex scenes are perfectly balanced between plot elements. I wouldn't say any of them are unnecessary.

That said, I think the well-developed main characters are stark-raving mad. They're both the same kind of mad, though, which is why there's such chemistry between them. I can't love a book where the characters leave me completely outside their heads - even as they tell me their innermost thoughts. It's like being inside the head of a serial killer who loves his work. This is why I can't give it five stars - because of my personal disconnect with Tess and Q.

I suspect I'll read the rest of this series because it horrifies me and I do want to know that there is some form of happiness in the end for Tess and Q. But...I will also make sure I have something light and fluffy to distract me at the end of it, because I know there will be equally horrifying scenes in the rest of the series that will make me want to stop reading. Yet I won't...

I'm still in a bit of a fog over this one and I'm sure my review wont't do this book justice, but I just need to get this out! I stayed up until 3am reading because I just had to see how it all ended. Tess and Q's story is one I am not likely to EVER forget.

This book started off like a real-life horror movie. Pepper's writing is so visual that I felt like I was right there. What Tess has to endure is horrendous but somehow her strength just kept on shining through. I loved that she was such a hard-arse! She was a fighter, pure and simple. Not just fighting what was happening around her, and to her, but also Tess had a continuous internal battle - demons from her past and confusion over her desires.

The mysterious Q - what can I say? He was one of the most original characters I've ever read. I loved working him out as I went. But I don't want to say too much as I'm afraid to spoil it.

This book is an intense and passionate story full of brutality and uniqueness. It is hot and it's twists and turns will keep you guessing to the very end.

The only disappointment I have is that I took so bloody long to get to it! I should have read it ages ago! Don't put it off, one-click it now! It is a dark and incredibly well written story. And the epilogue is brilliant! Can't wait to read more from this extremely talented author.
