Teach Me Something is the fourth book in the Something series by Aubrey Bondurant. Ms. Bondurant has done it again, delivering another superb instalment of the Something series. With every new release, the books just get better and better- which is a testament to the authors writing prowess. In the author’s own words, it is an Adult Contemporary erotic romantic comedy. I was held enthralled, from the first page until the last, I loved everything about it and felt bereft when the story concluded- because it was so intoxicating and addictively good.
Catherine Davenport is very successful, well known and respected in her industry. She carries a lot of responsibility on her shoulders as the editor-in-Chief of Cosmo Life Magazine. Her job requires long hours, a lot of travelling and endless functions- as well as overseeing all the countless details that are required to produce such a high calibre product with each and every Issue. Her dedication and commitment to her job is beyond reproach. She is efficient and organised- or as she puts it safe, dull and predictable. Where there’s a rule she’ll always follow it, and if there’s any kind of risk, she’ll avoid it. She firmly believes that that these are some of the factors that contributed to her husband demanding a divorce, nearly two years ago. Although, he did seem to ‘move on’ with a younger woman, rather quickly.
She has had trouble adjusting to single life and has really floundered when it came to putting herself out there and joining the dating scene. The few dates that she’s been on have all ended disastrously; she really needs help to improve her social skills and self-esteem. Catherine is desperate to climb out of the rut she’s been in- of eat, work and sleep. Things have to change and soon.

Every reader will tell you that there are some authors that they can't get enough of and whose words, stories and characters captivate them each and every time. That is Aubrey Bondurant to me. And Teach Me Something is a shining example of why I love her books so much.

Catherine is down on her self esteem after a particularly bitter divorce. Wanting her sexual, dating and relationship mojo back, she enlists the help of an expert through a sex club. Determined to master the art of dating, what she doesn't expect is the easy chemistry with her instructor as she learns the finer art of captivating a man.

As an instructor at a sex club, Calvin's speciality is to help women with the ins and outs of successful dating and attracting the opposite sex. With an abundance of confidence he takes on Catherine as a client to guide her. But Calvin has a secret that he might not be able to keep. And while he has a strict no sex policy with his clients, can he resist Catherine when it all comes to light?

By far though, these two are my absolute fave. I know I said it about Bet Me Something but I think Aubrey hit a new level with this one. I loved that she gave us a highly successful women in her 30's - who is so very relatible in her struggles. And a man that is up to the challenge of being with such a women without sacrificing on his alphaness or feeling inadequate.

But I don't want to give too much away, because Calvin is best experienced through self discovery (and yes I completely meant that in a dirty way too).

And let me tell you, Aubrey does sexy so well. I will be honest and say that there is some sizzling hot sex scenes in this book, because let's be real this is a story about a women in her 30's getting her mojo back!

Catherine on her road to self discovery becomes closer with Will someone she has known for a while through friends and they become close friends.

While Catherine is trying to heal and find herself her ex husband continues to interrupt her life. After his mother’s death Catherine is forced to reveal a few home truths to him to try to help him get back on track.

Will is trying to make ends meet, after sending money home to Australia to his mother to pay for his brothers care, by modelling and working at a club. He has trouble letting people help him and thinks his brother is his responsibility to provide care for financially.

OMG Aubrey is a true storyteller. I am glad to have read her work and strongly suggest you do to. I will certainly be reading more of Aubrey’s other work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it! A great addition to a fantastic series! 15 February 2017

I’ve enjoyed each installment of Aubrey Bondurant’s Something series so far, and I’d been very much looking forward to Catherine’s story. Bondurant’s writing style and her brand of smutty chick-lit books are always entertaining, sexy, great reads. I’m asked on occasion to name an author who I thought more people should be reading, and unsurprisingly, Aubrey Bondurant is one of those authors the comes to my mind. She’s a very talented author, and I haven’t yet read one of her novels that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. I’m going to be very careful in this review, though, as the hero’s identity is a bit of a spoiler, and I don’t want to give it away.

“Time to do this before I chickened out.”

Catherine is in her mid-thirties and a very successful editor of the top fashion magazine, Cosmo Life. She’s a recognized fashion icon and authority. While she has her professional life in check, her personal life is another story. On the heels of a divorce that she didn’t see coming, she’s floundering in her efforts to rejoin the dating scene. Part of the problem is that she misreads—or just plain misses—the signals and subtle signs that men send her and when she tries, she often misreads them. She has not mastered the subtle art of flirty bantering, and her attempts come off more awkward than seductive. She needs help.

“Maybe there was hope for me yet.”

Enter the masked man, Calvin, and some private lessons at Club Travesty, a high-end, exclusive and discreet sex club. Catherine may have donned a wig and took on the name Kat to mask her easily recognizable identity, but she fully embraced Calvin’s lessons, advice and assignments. So, despite her nearly overwhelming nervousness, Catherine is immersing herself in this experience that is so totally outside of her comfort zone, and she’s feeling more confident than she ever has. Or at least she was until she got the shock of her life at party when she hears a voice she immediately recognizes and turns to look into a pair of all-too-familiar eyes on a face that she knows...

“…keep taking chances. Sometimes the things that make you happy are found when you least expect it.”

As it turns out, Catherine knows the real man behind her masked sex club relationship tutor, Calvin. He runs in the same circles as she does, both professionally and socially. Once that gap is bridged, though, they start seeing each other privately. One of her big concerns was their age difference, he’s several years younger, but he approached their relationship with tremendous maturity and he was so patient and encouraging, it was truly inevitable that she would be swept off her feet by this man. He has his own issues, though, and surprisingly in the end it was his issues that got in the way of a relationship.

“All roads, no matter how rough, lead me here to you.”

Teach Me Something was another well written, well developed, humorous and sexy story about this group of friends that I’ve come to adore. I love this series so much, it’s one I never hesitate to highly recommend. Aubrey Bondurant’s Teach Me Something gets 4.5 smooches from me!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Edition To The Series! 9 February 2017
By Sara-Jane Bennetts - Published on Amazon.com

You don’t need a magic eight ball to tell you whether to read this book because Teach me Something is another great addition to the Something Series by Aubrey Bondurant.

Catherine Davenport is a smart, sophisticated woman at the top of her career. Unfortunately when it comes to the dating world she’s not nearly as self-assured.

Catherine’s wit, self-deprecating humor and inner monologue prove she’s hardly as boring as she thinks herself to be and when she signs herself up for dating lessons at a sex club, of all places, we soon find out there’s more to Catherine than who she believes herself to be.

When the identity of “Calvin” her instructor at the club reveals just how small the world really is, things get more than a little interesting. “Calvin” is sweet, caring, and hot as all hell. And ladies… he does the dishes (girl porn right there!)

Often when reading a series the characters can often bleed into each other but Aubrey Bondurant has a knack for writing characters that are unique authentic and relatable.

I love how Aubrey does the epilogue’s from the guys POV. It’s always great to get a peek into the minds of the male MC’s.

I’m very much looking forward to the next book in the series.

Teach Me Something (Something Series Book 4)
By: Aubrey Bondurant
5 out of 5 stars

The story Teach Me Something (Something Series Book 4) is a romantic comedy. This is Catherine Davenport’s love story and I can’t express how much I loved it. This book had me laughing, crying, and saying “No they just didn’t!” Catherine’s character is so confident when it comes to her career. She knows how to get what she wants and how to get things done. This doesn’t spill over into her love life. She is divorced and is finding it a challenge to get back into the dating scene. Catherine knows that if she wants to find a man she will need help. That is when she enlists the help of a private club to help her improve. This is where she finds help with dating strategies from a masked man with piercing blue eyes. What happens next is a wonderful adventure into what can happen when two people unexpectedly fall in love.

This story is mainly about a blooming romance, however, family also plays an important part as well. Catherine’s parents pop in to visit her and not always at the best times. The family dynamic is one that almost had me rolling on the floor with laughter. Catherine finds out that being up front and making sure that you properly communicate as a couple is one of the most important parts of any relationship. There is also the hot and heavy romance in this relationship that will have you turning on a fan and reaching for a glass of ice water. This is the fourth book in the Something Series and I can honestly say that every single book is an absolute joy to read. Each story is written so that you don’t want to put the book down until you finish. I highly recommend reading in order as all the characters are either related or the best of friends so they frequently travel together and plan events with almost everyone attending. This book does contain adult language and situations including very hot romantic scenes. It is for those 18 years or older.

Read this book in one sitting - Bondurant's writing is my kind of perfection. Characters that could be my friends. Story lines that keep me hooked and guessing. The only downfall, now I have to wait for the next one!

Catherine a woman scorn and working in a high profile fashion job. Will a part time model. Seems like an unlikely pair but I love how they work. Will is wise beyond his years with a dash of alpha male.
The chemistry between these two is amazing. The only drawback is it ended and i wanted more. Aubrey has gave me a new favorite couple. A must read you will not be disappointed!
