I bought this since airlines are getting miserly about their luggage allowances. It seemed to work fine upon arrival, but I didn't use it right away since I wasn't traveling. I first used it 6 month later, but it was useless since the battery was dead. Ok, my fault, I guess for not checking it beforehand.
Before the next international trip 6 months later, I replaced the battery and brought spares. It worked during the first weighing and seemed to correspond to the airline's scales. But when I unpacked the scale, the display read "low" and it beeped intermittently. I replaced the batteries, but it soon also read "low" and started beeping, even though nothing was being weighed and nothing was pressing the button. I gave up on it.
Interestingly, even though the battery was too low to weigh anything, it was strong enough to "beep" for 8 weeks, increasing in frequency to several times every few minutes. I finally removed the battery and decided to write this review. Unfortunately, my return window has expired.
Avoid costly charges for overweight baggage with the Taylor Digital Luggage Scale. Simply lift a bag using the scale's durable ABS handle and hold until it beeps. The bag's weight is displayed on the unit's easy-to-read LCD screen. The scale can weigh up to 88-pounds, and resets to 0 with the touch of a button. Tough nylon webbing won't rip or tear despite repeated use. Measuring 2.25-inches by 3.5-inches, this scale is compact and highly portable. The scale is powered by one (1) lithium battery for long life, and is backed by a 10-year warranty.
