OMG, I was almost all smiles through this book! I loved it and getting to know this new Pride and seeing some old favourites was also great😍 Look forward to see what Ronin and Em do to help the Pride move forward and the challenges they all face to get there. Such a great story😀
Well written. This author creates an almost believable alternative world. There are some amazing inspirational lines within this story for submissive or abused woman, and men, to take on board, and make their own choices and become stronger within themselves. This story was as inspirational with examples told through the characters, as it was entertaining.
This book was awesome. I loved the two main characters and the courage and inspiration that ronin gave to emerald. I love this authors style and this was amazing. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series .
First off, This is a new series, however I like most, who absolutely love T S Joyce's shifters, thought I knew what I was getting. I was wrong. This was lion-hearted & fast paced, spanning probably over two days at most. But if like me, you've read any other Damons Mountain's books, you know some Tarian history.
You have the old pulling out all the stops to destroy the new. And the new tearing apart their history to be more. To be better. To be worthy.
Emerald is a totally badass. Her eventual reckoning is absolutely melodious.
And Ronin. He will do anything to tear down her submission and make her stronger on her own terms. That strength in Ronin and his willingness to fight hard is undoubtedly what makes him the best alpha for Tarian.
Another great read by TS Joyce. I love the tie back to Damon’s mountain and Vyr’s mountain crews especially the new tie to Vyr from the last book. It’s always fantastic to see the old characters back and stay in the Damon’s Mountain World. Ronin is an amazing Alpha showing the new Tarian Pride a different way - they can be fierce and lethal but still have honour. Emerald was a really good but not necessarily expected match for Ronin and was a slightly different female then we have seen before. She demonstrates that even a submissive can be brave especially when she is believed in. Well written and edited with good storyline and depth of characters I come to expect in a TSJoyce not to mention the sense of humour. Excellent start to this new series. Look forward to the next book. Love that the picture on the front actually matches the description of the book character - something not done in many other books I have read lately.
Another good short read from this author. Sure there was a fair bit of insta-love, but it felt believable and like they were really meant to be. I didn’t really understand the submissive/suddenly not so submissive aspect of the story, but overall it worked. Not a book I’d read again, but I liked it. Didn’t like it as much as the Sons of beasts, but still good. Perhaps 3.75 stars. 😉
