Product Description

This new edition of Talk to Me is now a complete standalone hockey romance with NO CLIFFHANGER!

A damaged hockey player. A smart-mouthed TV reporter.
Put them together, and it’s more than a conflict of interest…

Finn Daley took the world by storm two years ago when he was drafted by the NHL. The young, handsome, high-scoring player quickly became a fan favorite. He had everything going for him: fame, fortune, a promising career, and his pick of women. But when he made an abrupt exit from the NHL, everything changed and he’s been in hiding ever since.
Casey Scott plans to find out why.

After interning all summer at the top television station in the Twin Cities, Casey lands an on-air gig. Trouble is, the new role is Sports Girl—which means reporting from local bars and tailgating parties to create excitement for the hometown heroes. All while wearing tiny team jerseys that are so tight they leave little to the imagination.

But she has a plan. Uncover the biggest sports mystery of the decade, and she’ll be on her way. Question is, how far will she go to get the story?

Enjoy this story on its own or as part of the Impossible Love Series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Revised review since receiving complete novel 22 December 2016

I initially had an issue with this book because I only got half of it, even after deleting and reloading. I emailed the author, somewhat expecting to never hear a thing, but I got an immediate response. She worked with me, emailed back and forth, and even sent me a free book while we were waiting to figure out if the version on Amazon was correctly loaded. I'd give her 5 stars, even if the book was mediocre, but thankfully that is not the case.
I thought the characters were well developed; I liked that the h was her own person, independent of the H. There's nothing I despise more than a female character that can't function without the male in the story. Minor spoiler here - I also appreciated that the story touched lightly on mental disorders and the stigma attached to them. I feel like it rounded the story out. This book has an actual plot; it's not just another predictable steamy romance.

I'm so glad I have the re-released full version! Where the first part ended I would've screamed my head off if I didn't have part two immediately! Thank you for this new standalone release!

I was so tense reading this book because I was dying to know what Finn's 'issues' were that he kept referring to. I was almost wanting to skip ahead to figure it out just so I could relax while reading. I felt so much for both Casey and Finn.
I immediately liked all characters and sunk into their stories.

It took me a minute to figure out the format of the narrative. The begining of every other chapter or so was a TV interview. Once I got the hang of it I absolutely loved the way it made the story flow! Very unique and creative.

Can't wait to read more by Clare James!

3.0 out of 5 stars Back and forth without an ending 30 June 2016

The book was short and interesting told from two point of views switching each chapter. It could have had more detail and less a sense of summary through the book. While we see the main characters connect its vague and there is a lot missing. What does Finn do all day? We never discover Finn's problem or reason for leaving hockey and the story wasn't even close to being complete instead we have to buy part 2 to find out. I hate serial books I loves series but not individual books broken up into parts. Is this book worth reading? On its own no because the story isn't over. Will I buy the next part? Yes because I have to know what Finn did. So do I recommend this book---No.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read! 22 March 2016

Finn Daley was an up and coming hot hockey player who walked in after loosing the finals and announced his retirement.

Casey Scott just wants to be taken seriously as a reporter. So in order to hopefully get there one day she has to take the crappy jobs and climb the news rank ladder. Revealing Daleys secret may just get her there.

He didn't know he was getting played. She didn't know he would get under her skin so easily. So what do the 2 do when secrets are revealed?

This was a great read but I hate the cliffhangers!!! I need more!!

I couldn't get into the story. I had a hard time with the switching of past and present. I would like it a little more if more behind the relationship between Finn and Casey.
