A very special gift edition of the classic tale with a new design that reflects Beatrix Potter's love of the natural world.
About the Author
Beatrix Potter is regarded as one of the world's best-loved children's authors of all time. From her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit (1902) she went on to create a series of stories based around animal characters including Mrs Tiggy-winkle, Mr Jeremy Fisher and Tom Kitten. Her humorous, lively tales and beautiful illustrations have become a natural part of childhood. A source of inspiration was the Lake District where she lived for the last thirty years of her life as a farmer and conservationist.

this book is a really fun companion to her original works3 April 2018 - Published on Amazon.com
My son loves the Beatrix Potter stories and the illustrations are so lovely; this book is a really fun companion to her original works. It has a section for counting, for colors, and for other learning activities. Nice thick book with colorful pages.
Not what I thought9 November 2018 - Published on Amazon.com
I downloaded this book to use in my classroom thinking that it was the book the movie was based off. This was not the case.

This is my favorite book for baby showers. It has numbers, colors, words, alphabet all wrapped into a small little book with beautiful illustrations on heavy matte finish paper. I buy one every time I have the chance.

I was hoping to make a mobile for my baby's crib. The cut-outs were fairly intricate in terms of lots of scalloping on the edges--it was pretty time-consuming. For assembly, I used a thick needle and embroidery thread to poke holes and attach the pieces to one another. When I was finished, it was somewhat cute, but not really what I was hoping for. The problem is twofold: first, there is a lot of "greenery"--a leafy-looking base, then leafy trellises, and a leafy archway. Each of these has some pastel flowers in it, but the dominant color is green, so the animals get "lost" in the overall look. (The cover is a good example of the size of the animals in contrast to the emphasis of the greenery. Plus the greenery ends up being 3-D, but the animals are 2-D, so they really get overpowered.) The second problem, the bigger one, is that unless this is hung at eye-level or lower, all anyone will see is a green base. If I hung it in the crib, the baby would only see the green base. I tried to hang it on the ceiling near a window, but again, unless you're across the room and seeing it at eye-level or lower, you really just see the green base and the green trellises and archway. It was cheap, which was attractive in terms of creating a Beatrix Potter mobile, but it took about 3 hours to cut it out and assemble it, and then it wasn't useful in the baby's room, so I put it aside. I ended up just purchasing a rotating mobile arm that would attach to the crib (about $12) and then creating my own animals to hang to make the mobile.

Beatrix Potter Will Never Go Out of Style15 June 2009 - Published on Amazon.com
Purchased this little board book as an Easter gift for my niece. It would be an appropriate gift any time of the year, but it was perfect for Easter. Beatrix Potter tales are so delightful!
