Product Description

A rocker gets a taste of unexpected passion in the latest red-hot Rock Star Romance from the award-winning author of I Want You to Want Me.
Calix Bourbon might seem like a free spirit, but that’s all a front. In reality he’s just trying to keep his fractured family together while working as a session musician. When Blue Fire hires him to replace their keyboardist, Calix is determined to make the most of the opportunity—but he can’t help being distracted by the band’s sexy personal chef.
Mimi’s temporary gig is great, but she has her heart set on auditioning for a televised cooking show. There’s just one problem: she only has a week to acquire the skills necessary to survive the competition. Luckily, the band’s new keyboard player can teach her exactly what she needs, in the kitchen and in the bedroom...

Love Mimi's fire and heart and determination and spirit!

She's that warm, forward-moving, inspiring and loyal woman you instantly want to be, totally want to be friends with and who you instantly know deserves nothing less that bountiful love in return.

But does she fall for the guy who's ready to give her that? Uh, no.

Calix is an artist who should be revelling in his prime. A talented session musician destined for more, he is stuck in time, where he and his family only know loss. Haunted by loss and guilt, and fuelled by fear he lives to keep his family together.

Until he leaves a door open for Mimi, and she waltzes right on in!

So many issues addressed in Take Me Home Tonight, so beautifully crafted to give you a bit of everything.

Loved the passion Erika wrote for Mimi in everything she does! I was salivating for sweets the whole way through.

Love the unwavering beauty within the shattered yet loyal and loving family.

Thank you for writing Jo the way you did. Not sure why exactly but I seriously dug the way you wrote her grief: long, torturous, a grief so strong it withstood even the love and embrace of her family for so long, a grief that stole time, changed foundations and grew so big it rivalled the enormity of the love she had for her boy.

I felt like maybe, she had to grieve that big, because Hopper deserved it... I don't know, but I do know you wrote a thing of beauty, total beauty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock Star + Cooking Star = Spank Bank worthy 7 April 2016
By Lightning City Book Reviews - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
If you love Rock Star Romance and Cooking Shows then "Take Me Home Tonight" will totally Rock your Tasty Buds and put some Spank in your Bank! Erika Kelly writes a book in which the Hero, Calix, and his family are fixed in place by a family tragedy - emotionally and physically. The Heroine, Mimi, is also stuck in a cycle, but although she realizes it and thinks she's breaking out of it - she's only taking a different path to the same destination. But on the Mimi's path she meets the Calix, who has been so caught up in his own drama he hadn't noticed her. The sexual chemistry is intense and when they get down to it the sex scenes are primal, fierce, and all-consuming. The passion they feel for each other is extreme and powerful, coming upon them so quickly that it's scary and each handles that fear differently. I really love all of the characters in this book (although I've missed the previous book in this series) and the main characters are head-strong, fun, yet complex. On the other hand - I did want to slap Calix up the side of his thick head a few times. The setting seems almost to be one of the characters itself. The cooking show competition and how Mimi prepares for it is genius on Ms. Kelly's part - part therapy - part wooing - so cute. The family tragedy was truly tragic and traumatic. Guilt runs wide and deep. In order to overcome all of these obstacles, mental and actual, Mimi and Calix's passion and love is wild and relentless as are they.
I really loved "Take Me Home Tonight", except for the 3 day "ear worm" it gave me. I ended up partially reading it twice. I can't tell you how engaging the characters are, main and secondary. The complex storyline makes it difficult to really want to slap the Hero upside the head as early as you want to. Also, Mimi's determination to work with her father is another case in which you want to shake her and tell her to wake up. But the complexity makes it so good and the intense attraction and wild and unfettered sex between the Hero and Heroine makes "Take Me Home Tonight" sooo good. Erika Kelly did an amazing job on this book and I want to read more of the Rock Star Romance series!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it 17 April 2016

Take Me Home Tonight is the third book in this series and I have to say this one is my favorite so far. This one will definitely take you an emotional ride. Calix has a tragedy in his past that has kept him closed off emotionally for the last three years and Mimi has worked hard to please her father so he will hire her. I really loved that Mimi never backed down from what she wanted from Calix and how she pushed him to see things from a different perspective. I loved that Clix just couldn't stay away from her and that he was very vulnerable and was able to show his emotions. I so totally loved this book, it is very well written and I couldn't put it down until I was finished. I am really looking forward to the next book.

I love Love LOVE! Erika Kelly's books. This was another that did not disappoint... I only wish they came out quicker and she had more to read. She is quickly becoming my favorite new author... I need more!
My favorite genre is also rock star romance, and this one had it all. I adore Calix and his whole family, and Mimi is a great character. I love the whole Blue Fire band and their ladies... I really can't wait for the next one to come out.
