Lacey’s Story…

Covering up pain is easy. It’s keeping it tucked away that’s hard. I’ve always needed the cover of tattoos to hide the nasty past that leached its way into me, tainting me beneath my skin.

Not the shiny, trendy tats, but the ugly broken kind, meant to keep the world at bay. If they weren’t enough, then my piercings, foul mouth and crazy hair usually did the trick. Life had taught me to never follow the rules, because when you do, you get burned.

My life was perfectly imperfect until Tripp…

Our relationship is what most would describe as fuel meeting fire. We were both hell bent on burning each other to the ground. Tripp was sexy as hell, a charismatic beast, and soon became one of my best friends. We shared a love of ice cream and tattoos as we blazed our own path that could only lead to a beautiful train wreck.

The only question left is, will we set the countryside ablaze with our hot tempers and foul mouths? Or will we paint our own happy ending filled with all the gushy shit normal people crave?

Although I liked the base of this book the twat waffle talk and some other language got really tiresome it was like listening to 13 year old bicker and it put a real dampener on the overall book.
Tripp and .Lacey were made for each other they are both beautifully messed up. You will laugh and you will cry throughout the book Lacey and Milly get up to no good as usual and little Annie still steals the show.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two lost souls equal one amazing trainwreck! 14 April 2017

Lacey is a kickass woman who doesn't need a prince, but never said she didn't need a Beast! Tripp is a disgrace to his father but never understood why. These two are bound by their family, Cree & Milly, and will do everything they can to make a trainwreck of a relationship work. It may never be perfect but it's theirs!
Cree was good, but this is better! The live they have is never ending, not inly for each other but the family that they have surrounding them. It was perfect, just perfect and I can't wait to continue reading this series!

2.0 out of 5 stars What! Cheating? 24 December 2016
By Lin-( Nerdy Bookworm) - Published on Amazon.com

The writing and the characters was good. I enjoyed the story until the part where Tripp cheated on Lacey. I dislikes when they were happy in love and in a strong relationship until Tripp become angry and arrives at a bar with friends, then his decision to have sex with another woman unknown to him. He bounces around the next day in front of his girlfriend (Lacey) with another woman adding fuel to the fire. That's so disrespectful!

5.0 out of 5 stars MUST READ!!!!! 17 March 2014

Tripp is book 2 in the My Way series. If you haven't read Cree I highly suggest you take the time to read that one first. You don't need it to read this story but it gives you the beginning of this fabulous group of people and how they come together... Anyhoo on to Tripp & Lacey's story! So many series today never live up to the first book no matter the spin or drama added to push it forward. This was most definitely not one of them! Everything from the angst to the sex to the laughs was so much more in this story! The emotions you feel in these characters will tear you open and leave you bleeding while healing you all at the same time. The sex is dirty and so fricken awesome sauce. The relationships between this crazy, unconventional self inflicted family is amazing. This is most definitely an author to watch out for! You seriously need to pull out the stops and read this book! Delve into the foul mouthed, uncontrollable and completely hilarious world of Tripp, Lacey and their insane family...oh I must give tribute to the beautiful Annie!!! She is the most amazing, funny and lovable little lady ever!!

I was intrigued with Lacey's character from the onset of this series. She was brash and sassy and my kind of girl.

We start with a morning after that neither character can remember. Lacey lives up to her charm when she storms out, still naked after being yelled at by Tripp.
Tripp is great. We first met him, very briefly, at the end of Cree. He is the tattooed, bad boy fresh out of rehab. He came to the farm to get a new start away from his past and his infuriating father.

Over time, they work out their differences over some time and build a new, stronger relationship. The chemistry between these two is combustible and hot. There are fun gym and ice cream dates. Of course there is Annie to lighten the mood and show is the softer side of Unky Tripp.

After a big misunderstanding, things unravel for the couple. Tripp has a set back and winds up back in rehab. Lacey has had enough of it all and also spends some time recovering from her actions. During rehab, the two get their heads and hearts together and realize that they belong together. It takes more work but it is worth it. There is a big twist towards the end that could've sent Tripp reeling but the fact that it didn't just shows how much his character has grown.

I like that the characters we fell in love with in Cree were very present and involved in this story. They are, after all, best friends and family. The bonds that they all have give the story that much more depth. We see a lot of Milly, Cree, Willow and sweet Annie. Overall, the story was a quick read that covered some heavy material. I look forward to the next installment in this series in which Willow's story will be told.
5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book and loved Tripp 20 May 2014

This is the second book in this series. Although each book is a stand alone book, for background purposes and to get a handle on who all the characters are, you should read Cree first. Plus, Cree is an amazing book and you'll love Cree as much as you will love Tripp.

Lacey is Milly's best friend. She tattooed, mouthy and doesn't put up with crap from anyone. Up until now, we know she has a troubled past, but we don't know what all it involves. Tripp is Cree’s cousin who was a successful professional baseball player, but then tragedy struck and he began drinking and doing drugs. He lost everything. Fresh out of rehab, Cree has invited him to stay and help work on the farm and heal.

After a night of drinking at Milly's and Cree's wedding reception, Lacey and Tripp wake up together. Tripp's parents are horrible and don't support him at all. When Lacey hears the ugly words Tripp’s father says to him, she takes up for him and they quickly develop a deep bond and friendship. Soon their relationship changes and becomes more.

Both Tripp and Lacey are broken souls who have issues they still need to deal with. We all know that sometimes the road to recovery and happiness isn’t smooth and has its set backs. Tripp and Lacey discover that they’re more broken apart than they are together.

This is a beautiful story of finding love; of finding the strength to take steps to repair yourself; and of finding the courage to take a chance and let your heart love. You will love both Tripp and Lacey and laugh when they laugh and cry when they cry. All of the same wonderful characters from the first book are here and we get to see more of that precious sweet girl Annie. I’d love to live by this group and hang out with them.

I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, Miles, about Cree’s sister Willow.
