My house is is 2 story with 4 bedrooms. Construction is full brick downstairs and the upstairs floor is a concrete slab. The router is downstairs and provides good coverage througout the house. (Have analysed this with Netspot) My NBN connection is HFC and my ISP forces me to use their less powerful router to use VOIP, so the Archer hangs off that router and all my other devices are connected to it. Am very happy with its performance. The firmware is not as sophisticated as my previous Fritz!Box. For example you can't assign your own meaningful names to devices and I miss its DECT capabilities but I would certainly recommend this router.
This router is basically useless if used with IOS. Hit and miss connections (about 10% success). Online research suggests this is a long term TP-Link wireless problem that I wished I had known before splashing out the cash on this “high performance” router.
Have had to revert to an older, slower router. Very disappointed.
