Product Description

When nerdy teenager Jack Hunter finds an ancient bullroarer in McKinley’s Bric-a-Brac store, little does he realise that what he holds in his hand is about to turn his boring country life completely on its head.
Jack has two aims in life – to keep well clear of the bully Ben Scanlon and to win the heart of new girl, Ruby Tuesday and when he realises the bullroarer can stop time it seems his dreams are about to come true.
It’s all fun and games for Jack as he uses the bullroarer to seek revenge on Scanlon for the years of torment and bullying while impressing Ruby with his new-found power. But the ‘visions’ he experiences when spinning the bullroarer begin to worry Jack.
Who are the cloaked figures gathered around the tower? Who is the strange woman with the tattooed skull and the leering smile? What do the strange symbols etched on the Black Stone mean? Who is the raging monster carved from wood? And what is about to happen to the youth called Fen, manacled to the dungeon wall deep in the bowels of the Black Tower?
It is only when Jack pushes through the ‘curtain of time’ and steps into an ancient world where the evil sorceress Zordran rules, that the fun really begins and all hell breaks loose in a do-or-die struggle as good versus evil.
‘The Towers of Zordran’ is full-on, fast paced adventure that slips from the present day to a mysterious past; a hyperventilating story that will keep you on the edge of your seat with its unexpected twists and turns; that will have you cheering loud and strong for Jack and Ruby as they don their armour, grab their swords and set

About the Author

I was born in 1949 in Geelong, Victoria where I had a great childhood hanging out with my mates, riding my bike everywhere, terrorising the local neighbourhood and spending endless summer days bodysurfing and lazing on the beach. When it was time to give all the fun stuff away and grow up I became a primary school teacher, but that little kid is still lurking within me and often pops up somewhere in my stories. A 'proper' job and marriage led to another gang of kids - four to be precise - who are now all grown up and doing their own thing. This means I've now got plenty of time to do what I love - write! When I'm not writing, my wife and I go for long bike rides in search of good coffee, travel overseas, visit wineries and gush over our first grandchild.
