Pokémon Z-Ring Set
Continue your quest to become a Pokémon Trainer! Experience the world of Pokémon in a new way with the unique Pokémon Z-Ring and Z-Crystals! Compatible with the latest video game titles in the Pokémon series for Nintendo 3DS Family Systems: Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, the Z-Ring can interact and synchronize to enhance the game play experience with new Z-Moves!
Pokémon Z-Ring Synchronizes with the Video Game
When synchronized in Nintendo 3DS/2DS Mode and with the Z-Crystal element type matching the Z-Move type performed in the video game, the type based attack icon will appear automatically and players will be able to hear the dedicated type attack sound.
When an Electric-type Z-Crystal is inserted into the Z-Ring, this exciting interactive feature enables players to feel the Electric-type Z-Move at the same time as it appears in the video game! Insert different type Z-Crystals into the Z-Ring to experience the colors, vibration and sound effects for each. (Z-Ring with Grass Z-Crystal shown).
Activate Role Play Mode
The Pokémon Z-Ring can be used without the video game in Role-Play mode! Bring the battle play to life by pressing the button on the Z-Ring to experience the different colors, lights and vibration with each Z-Crystal! The Z-Ring can hold up to six additional Z-Crystals with the active Z-Crystal in place.

The Z-Ring from TOMY is the first piece of Pokémon equipment that actually makes you feel like a real Pokémon Trainer. Whenever you use a Z-Move in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, as long as your 3DS volume is loud enough for the ring to "hear" it, you'll see it light up in different colors, depending on the crystal inserted at the top of it, and you'll also hear loud sound effects coming from it. The vibrations give the feeling that the ring is actually using your energy (or aura) to help power your Pokémon's move in the game itself. It's clearly the first time they've attempted this synchronization between a piece of Pokémon equipment and a main series Pokémon game.
There are a few downsides to point out, however. It took me a while to figure out how to open up the ring to get it around my wrist -- one side of it actually opens up, but it's a bit hard to pull it apart, and you have to be careful because you don't want to pull too hard and damage the ring. Although the ring fits my wrist fine, if you have very large hands and wrists, it may not fit around it. The crystals that fit on the ring can sometimes be difficult to attach and remove. They only fit on the ring in one specific way, as indicated by the small transparent arrow on the crystal itself, and even then, you still have to apply a considerable amount of pressure to click it into place, and the same amount of pressure to remove it. The final issue is with the battery. It comes with 2 AAA batteries installed, but mine only lasted about 2 weeks (roughly 5 hours of gameplay per day). You'll need a very small flat screwdriver to open up the battery compartment and replace them. Would've been nice if the ring had a built-in battery that could've been recharged via USB cable, but then you can bet the price would probably double or triple.
Aside from that, I really do like it. I always wear the ring while playing Pokémon Sun and if I wasn't wearing gloves because of the fact it's winter right now, I would probably wear it whenever I went outside, so people would instantly recognize me as a Pokémon Trainer.
Googled it and this is a running issue with all of them.
