Blake hasn't been able to stop thinking about that kiss either...and he'll do anything to win Jennifer --even if it means being a beautiful bastard and breaking all the rules.

The THAT MAN TRILOGY is a steamy romantic comedy. Written in dual POV, it's approximately 500 pages long and has an HEA.

An enjoyable hot read that will keep you engaged the whole time. A good girl meets playboy boss story. A bit of humour here & there with Blakes family esp his nan. I liked Jennifer's character a good fit for the hunky Blake. Very entertaining.

3.0 out of 5 stars a 3.5 star read and spoilers 23 July 2016

I finally finished all five books in the series and I have to say it was pretty darn good. The story begins with the heroine having fun with her friends at a bar. They have a game of Truth or Dare. The h's friends spot the H by himself and tell the heroine that she has to reach him while blindfolded and kiss him. She manages to do just that. The kiss does all sorts of stuff to both her and the hero. It was instant love for the hero. The heroine, however, is engaged.

The h winds up working for the H. He recognizes her as the blindfolded girl, but since she was blindfolded and he took off soon after the kiss, she has no clue he was the one she kissed at the bar.

I love that the H whom was a no commitment player suddenly finds himself totally into the h despite her engaged status. His best friend’s advice to him was to eliminate the competition. He does just that during the course of his pursuit of the heroine in a very effective way. The H was very sweet and completely devoted to the heroine once he met her at the bar. He was also such a romantic. He called her his tiger. She was it for him.

I liked the h but not as much as the H. She stayed engaged to the douche until the H catches him cheating on her. I thought the h should have been more intelligent after the kiss and would have broken the engagement sooner. I did not like that she had to wait to see him cheating on her before she left him. She should have realized that she was falling love with her boss way before then.

There is an OW that keeps trying to come between the two of them. She was a mistake from his high school days. The h with help from her gal pals get even with OW right before her wedding. I thought that stunt was pretty hilarious.

There are portions of the story that are really funny especially from the H’s pov. There are dual povs and the supporting cast of friends and family balance out the story nicely. These two are perfect for each other.

I enjoyed the series and loved the H. A 3.5 star read.

5.0 out of 5 stars I am so glad I did 3 September 2016

I’ve had these for awhile and finally got to read them. I am so glad I did! I loved the way Blake Burns and Jennifer McCoy first meet each other. On the surface Blake and Jennifer couldn’t be any more different. Blake is a rich player, not a man for commitment. He sees something he wants he goes for it. Jennifer is a sweet hometown girl, not Blake’s usual type. Despite their differences or because of them they have a mutual attraction that had them burning up my kindle.

All these books had humor, drama, sexiness and a few awww moments. For me book three started off a bit slow but then picked up some speed. I’m really glad I had the complete series already so I could keep reading till the end.

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable but needs better development 22 March 2016

I did enjoy these books. I had a bit of a problem with the editing, but those were some minor issues. Dialog could have been better. The same phrases were used over and over. The biggest flaw I saw in the story is the way the author handled Blake's family's Jewishness. Apparently, they were religious enough to have Shabbat dinner every Friday night. But that seems to be the end of their Jewishness. They never go to Temple. They do not celebrate any other Jewish holidays. Their company has Christmas party for the employees, but Chanukah is never mentioned. Honestly, what they would have done is have a holiday party. Then, she has Blake eating sausage and a ham & cheese sandwich. Even if they don't keep kosher, many Jews still do not eat pork products. Also, Blake fell right into Christmas at Jen's house, again never mentioning Chanukah. Yes, I know the two holidays have nothing in common, but they do generally fall around the same time of year. Can't figure out why she made the family Jewish since it adds nothing and is not imortant to the story. I am getting ready to read books 4 & 5. Curious to see how the Jewishness is handled there.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good 14 January 2017

I really enjoyed these books. It was a good story about Blake, a sexy billionaire running a porn tv station and Jen, a young woman who just graduated from graduate school and gets s job at his tv station. I think she is in charge of programming and has lots of ideas for turning erotic books into tv movies. Jen is engaged to an idiot dentist who definitely does not appreciate Jen. Blake falls for Jen right away and tries to get her away from the dentist. It is funny, sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes confusing and sometimes a little nerve wracking. There are some evil and nasty characters also.

The only real problem I had was the grammar and spelling errors. There were quite a few, which made it a little difficult to read. Sometimes people's names were misspelled.

If you can get past the grammar and spelling issues, it is a pretty enjoyable read. Blake's Grandma is probably my favorite character. She is pretty funny.
2.0 out of 5 stars I really liked the idea of this story 20 January 2017

I really liked the idea of this story. First book was good. I liked the slow buildup. But after book 1 I was not a fan of books 2 and 3 and I don't think I can bring myself to read books 4 and 5. SPOILERS- after the first time they got together thats pretty much what happened every other page. The story fell apart. Twice in the book due to a very minor misunderstanding the woman freaks out and runs away. And then after a short conversation its was all like I love you, oh my we're back together. That part was infuriating. Then there is a story of an almost rape in college where this nasty man comes back into the story to try again. Well actually he almost rapes her a second time on set and then a third time. Never succeeding. But after a very tramuatic incident she was all horny and ready to have sex again. Not believable! So disappointing. Don't waste you time.
