The Test by Elena Monroe is book two in the 4 horsemen series. Each book is about a new member, our members including Grimm, Vic, Khaos, and Boen.
This is Vic’s and Justice Story!
Starting the Test, I knew that this book was going to be addicting, it pulled me in and grasped my whole attention throughout. It consumed me, and wired me in like no other. When a book can do that, that is when you know that it is going to be a killer of a book.
There is so much yet to say about this book but I am gonna be very tight lipped on things as I don’t wanna ruin aspects of Vic and Justice Story. When I first met Vic in the previous book, he definitely lived up to his name being Vic the D. He was such a jerk, who I just wanted to punch in the face but whilst reading this book. Oh My God did my views change.
They changed for the better, this book pulled Vic right down to his inner core and revealed such a vulnerable side to him that I never expected him to have. He comes off as this alphahole type guy but in reality he actually is not. His the complete opposite, but then finding his person in justice really brought out the best in him, made him want to be better for her and made him go through a lot of self discovery.
Justice is literally goals, everything about her I loved. She wants what she wants, she believes in what she wants and is not afraid to speak her truth. She’s sassy, fiery and is quite frankly not afraid to put you in you’re place but above all that, she of course had her vulnerability parts that Vic was able to see straight away.
These two together, the games they played and how hungry they were for winning was what made these two a power couple. I loved watching them knock heads and go to battle.
It wouldn’t be a book without having all the hard crap and the twist and turns that give these two a rocky road to their happily ever after. Quite frankly, I did not see that twist coming, that completely blew my mind to smithereens. Love doesn’t come easy and this book is a true telling of that.
In my opinion, this book wasn’t as dark as the previous book and in a way that was what made this book stand out the most. I loved how it didn’t have all the necessary drama that quite frankly didn’t need to be there. This author balanced everything out perfectly and gave us everything that we love, crave and lust over in books.
Hands down to this author, for giving us such a riveting story that these two characters deserved. I can’t wait to see more from the author characters now.
Gimme Gimme More!!! (Was I singing Like Britney Spears when I wrote that, you bet I did).
Peace out!

Wow. After book 1 I wasn’t sure what to expect for this one, and let me tell ya, I’m here for this!
.
This is Vic and Justices story and I loved it. The heartache, emotional and just the whirlwind of the ride had me. Don’t get me wrong Vic will test a lot of people. There’s definitely a love/hate situation when it comes to him cause he just brings that out in anyone but you also just can’t help but love him just a little. Not gonna lie, I envied the all consuming love he had for justice. When he loves he’s all in and I love it. Seeing his character growth through the book was awesome.
.
They definitely have their fair share of demons and baggage so watching their chemistry and the way they came together, to grow together was actually beautiful to watch. This book had it all for me. They both challenge each other in different ways and in ways they both need so it made for a very entertaining and enthralling read. The darkness of this world is on a whole new level. I just love how Elena captivated her readers with her well thought out plot and she really takes the time to take you on a journey.
.
The world of this series is amazing. The dark and gritty and the originality was great. I just love being in this world. I wouldn’t be surprised if I have a book hangover after this because damn! I never want to leave these books. I’m looking forward to what book 3 has in store!

This book was yet another awesome read by Elena Monroe ! This is book 2 of the series which is dark and gritty but with justice there is light and love too and not in the corny way . Not at all.
Justice and Vic are ying and yang. Two opposites that make up a whole .
Vic has lost himself to his role in the clave , his mask so stuck to his face he can’t remember how to be himself anymore .
Justice too has lost herself along the way. And between. Her and Vic there is a battle of wills and values - I won’t say who wins ;) but ultimately they find each other and themselves on the journey .
This book biggest win for me was character development ! Especially Vic. Throughout the book he goes through a transformation and if you don’t like him from book one you will by the end of this one .
As so many facets of the clave are uncovered , strong holds and weaknesses too , relationships that are broken all of a sudden seem redeemable .
And there’s more to come !
I’m really loving this series and can’t wait to read the next one !!!

This is book 2 in the 4 Horsemen series, The Initiation being book 1. Id say you need to read these in order otherwise you may be scratching your head
This book revolves around Vic and Justice and they were excellent characters! They were more than what i had hoped for in a couple, together their journey was a lot, the push and pull, the attitudes, the games and the chemistry was smoking hot.
Vic was a dick at times hence "Vic the dick" but Justice never shy'd away and gave as good as she got. a heroine with a back bone, praise the lord! This has just the right amount of sex, not taking away from the bigger picture which is unravelling and those scenes were smoking hot!
Lollipop anyone?
The only negative I have is I wish we got more scenes of the brotherhood together, at times i cant decide if they like each other or not. It would have gotten a solid 5 stars if i could work that out.
Bring on Khaos

The Horsemen are back with a bang in The Test, the second book in The 4 Horseman series by Elena Monroe.
In The Test, we are now following Vic and Justice’s story-characters we first met while reading The Initiation, and let me tell you, I hated Vic’s guts in that book but, at the same time, I was intrigued by his rude demeanor. So I wanted to know how Elena was going to manage to get his redemption.
But was Vic the kind of a$$h0le that needed redemption? Hell, yeah, he was, but after reading his story, he became so much more than Vic the D, and now the only way to look at him is with heart eyes.
Pink hair and a pair of converse, that was Justice for you, a ball of fiery energy capable of giving light even to the darkest man.
Vic likes winning, and so did Justice. And in this battle of wills, secrets will be spilled, and hearts will be broken.
One of the things I love the most about the story was the fact that the romance never got lost between all the mystery surrounding The Clave. Elena succeeded in perfectly mixing romance and suspense.
Unlike with Grimm and Abigail, with Justice and Vic, you could feel their connection from the get-go. It was so palpable you could almost taste it, and there was never a doubt in my mind that they belonged together. The only way to describe their relationship—fire meet gasoline.
Their journey was not an easy one, but while Elena messes up with your head and feelings, she also gives you sweet and funny—their banter was everything!
A sinfully addictive story that has it all, the romance, the intriguing plot, and the ability to suck you into its world and never let you go.
I passed the test, now bring on the KHAOS.
Sidenote, Zeus? Girl, I need more.

"His love had a thunder grip on that organ, and it wasn't loosening up any time soon."
Things I didn't expect when reading The Test...
1. To fall in love with Vic the way that I did
2. To become so consumed with these characters & their story
3. To have read this book 3x now because I can't seem to get over it.
Elena Monroe has created a book world that I am completely... 150% obsessed with! Dark, Twisty, Off the Charts Chemistry, Unique Connections, Secrets & Family (A dysfunctional one for sure but still family). The 4 Horsemen & these fierce females that keep bringing them to their knees && I am so here for it! Ya'll Vic & Jus will surprise you... have you shouting at your kindle (these two were SO stubborn) & have you burning through the pages. GAH these two!!! The surprising vulnerability.. the secrets... SO GOOD! I simply could NOT put The Test down & I cannot wait for what's next from the Horsemen!

We were more alike than we wanted to admit- just both on opposite sides of a battle.
4 stars!!
WOW. Just wow. Where do I even begin with Justice and Vic and their story? And everything woven between them? I loved how this was kind of an overlapping story of those gaps at the end of The Initiation. We get that time jump at the end, and The Test fills in those holes with Justice and Vic.
Now, I’m gonna be honest, it actually took me a bit to read this story. Why? I’ve got no freaking clue because I loved every second of it! No matter how long it took me though, the chemistry between them two was always palpable. Those two were the complete opposite but yet, the exact same. They are so expertly written, it's insane. They each had the same goal in mind, but getting there was the difference. Or was it?
Vic always had to wear this mask. He had to be the golden boy, the perfect son, the winner, the “no-nice-guy” kind of person. But that wasn’t him. He had to be who he thought the Clave wanted him to be, until he fell in love with a certain pink-haired girl who was beating him at his own battle and realized it’s ok with being who he wants to be.
Justice was a force. A girl that never took “no” for an answer. She was strong and sassy and a force on her own battlefield fighting her own wars. She always thought her battles needed to be fought alone, or with who she chooses to fight them with. Until Vic showed her that she can't always get what she wants. That it's ok to have someone by your side. Yet, that also goes with Vic as well.
I struggled with loving and hating both of them. Justice was always so impulsive, and I 100% get why, but I mean, when the Clave and the 4horsemen are involved, just leave it be. And Vic, with that stick up his a*s. Just let it goooo. But again, I understood why. And when he finally took those masks down, letting them crack and not caring to fix them, I freaking loved him. When they were together, they had a chemistry that would light US on fire. They were so hot, steam was just blowing off of them in every direction.
I’m so excited to see where Khaos and Bowen go in the rest of the series. I’m so curious about these two, probably the most I’ve been about characters in a while. Elena writes such intricate characters, all completely unique, and always wanting more from them. I completely recommend this book and this whole series!

The Test is Book #2 in the 4Horseman series and I cannot sing enough praises for this book. It was beyond better than i expected.
After reading The initiation and getting a glimpse of Vic and Justice i was super intrigued by where their story would take me and they did not disappoint. In this book we get to see a completely different side to Vic and it blew my mind and made me love this story more, It had angst, it had sexy steam. I rode on a rollercoaster of feelings with this book but one thing i know is i absolutely loved Vic and Justice's story.
I cannot wait to read more in the 4Horseman series.
I cannot wait to read more books from this author as well.

I am so in love with this story!
The Test is the second book in the 4 Horsemen and its about the Claves 'golden boy' Vic and Justice the pink haired receptionist, they're definitely a new favorite couple; they're truly made for each other! Vic and Justice's tension in this book was off the charts, every time these two were together and challenging each other I was on the edge of my seat. This is an enemies to lovers romance that has become one of my favorites, I love the way Vic and Jus always have to one up each other and need to have the last word. If y'all love a good dark enemies to lovers romance with steam and emotion, this one is IT. Love love love!
