Product Description

Killer. Criminal. Sociopath.
All of these words have been used to describe me, and for the longest time I believed that that’s all I was.
I’m the man you call in to clean up your mess, assuming your mess is a guy who needs a bullet to the head. I’m the man the MC calls when they want their dirty work done.
I’m the man who doesn’t feel.
Until now.
Until her.
Now my mess is a woman who won’t save herself. I’ll fight like hell to save her, but at what price to the club? And at what cost to me?
Warning: TANK contains graphic violence, profanity, drug use, and explicit sexual situations that may be a trigger and cause some readers emotional discomfort. Intended for an 18+ audience only. Not intended for pussies.

This is the love story between a club hitman and a club [...], and it's a fairly dark tale full of pain in many forms including rape, drug addiction, incest, murder and major violence. Tank is about two broken people finding someone who can look past all of their faults and love the person underneath.

Both Tank and Ivy grew up with abuse beyond measure. The things they've seen and lived through are heartbreaking. Because of their experiences, both are able to see through the characteristics in each other which would cause society to put them in the useless or better off dead category.

Most of the storyline is deep and dark, requiring bravery to read, some parts bleeding over into horror, but going through this journey with the characters eventually leads to an uplifting feeling. If they can still get up in the morning, most of us should be able to conquer the world.

If you read book one, you know it wasn't a light read. This was even heavier but better in my opinion.

Again it's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Carmen Jenner's book and have absolutely loved her Sugartown Series..... This Series is oh so different... but also amazing..... I loved KICK the first book in this series and again Tank is also a fantastic read... it won't be for everybody though.... it's dark.... it's dangerous.... there's blood...... there's love..... there's romance...... there's bikers.... I personally found this book to be not as dark and dangerous as Kick.... to me that was a harder read..... I received an ARC from the author for an honest review and also purchased a copy for myself.

I reviewed my personal copy of this book for Wicked Reads.

Tank is a book that would sit just as well in the horror genre as it does in romance. The warnings that come with the books cannot be stressed enough. This story contains graphic violence against adults, children and animals. It also includes sexual violence and drug taking.

With that out of the way I enjoy horror novels and having the unconventional love story wound in worked well for me. Drugs and horror from her past threaten Ivy's existence. This is the story of the fight for Ivy's life. Love and kindness from Tank, even though Ivy doesn't want it, give us hope in the darkness and also gives her strength. This was a book I couldn't put down even through some horrific scenes but I came out at the end feeling empowered. Although I won't be at all surprised if Tank gives me nightmares.

Brace for this's beyond gritty & up there with some of the darkest reads out there but Carmen Jenner has me hooked on this series so as I cringe & try to read without absorbing the gruesome bits too fully, I know the overall ride is worth the pain.

HASH(0xb237aca4) out of 5 stars A story I'll never forget. 21 September 2015

This is probably one of the hardest reviews I've ever tried writing, there are so many things I want to say, but I've been struggling to find the right words, Carmen Jenner has created a story that left me speechless. Normally I'm able to write my reviews as soon as I finish reading or at least parts of it, but every time over the last hours, since finishing Tank, that I've tried writing something, nothing came out, except crying and small smiles.

The crying was for all the ugliest most disgusting of tortures that Ivy and Tank each relived of their separate pasts, for the cruelest moments they experienced at the hands of monsters. What each of them went through, was pain more terrifying and cutting than any other, I found myself wanting to switch off my own emotions so that the weight of what was happening to them would stop breaking my heart as well. However it was impossible not to feel it, to want to smash and scream and break everything in site, to want to stop the excruciating stab of darkness that was threatening to swallow everything in a sea of tears. The only anchor in all of it the bond between Ivy and Tank, that had them fighting to save each other and themselves. Their moments of joy, that gave them a distraction from the horror, was what made me smile. Every time Ivy gave Tank sass and he was a cocky smart ass in return, when he fought for her to let him in and she did, when they realised what they were to the other, I felt it, all of the warmth and the strength that they deserved.

Ivy had been a woman that would have done anything for a fix, the sweet numbing release that could help her for a while to forget everything else that had destroyed her. Tank was a hardened beast of a man, that never wanted to fall in love, love was a weakness. Together they changed so much. They may have gone through hell, but their shattered pieces were glued back together with only the smallest of cracks left that would no longer define their weaknesses but remind them all of their strength.

This book was dark, it was terrifying and the characters Ivy and Tank are what made it beautiful. Carmen Jenner told their story with such depth that she didn't just give us a look into their haunted memories, she gave us all of who they became. A truly phenomenal read, that will break readers in the most agonising of ways and then give them just enough to overcome it.

HASH(0xb1ed2018) out of 5 stars Pleasure and Pain 25 September 2015
By The Fairest of All Book Reviews - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Used. Abused. Corrupted. Lost Cause. Addict. Whore.

These are the words that describe how Ivy’s felt about herself since her father stoled her innocence and gave her a way to forget the unspeakable things done to her.

But that’s not how Tank sees Ivy - she may be small and a bit helpless right now due to her addiction, but he doesn’t see her as a lost cause. She’s his Warrior Princess, and he wants to save her and have her back even if she only has eyes for those who treat her like s*** and allow her to get off with their brand of pleasure in pain.

In Kick’s story, I didn’t know how to feel about Tank and Ivy; I couldn’t really get a handle on who they were and why, but in Tank, readers are privy to their deepest and darkest memories - the pasts that formed their opinions on love and set them both down paths where their bodies and souls have been corrupted, but it doesn’t mean they can’t be reinvented.

Tank is quite the dichotomy - he’s a heartless killer who refuses to feel helpless ever again, but that is exactly how he feels when he struggles to get Ivy clean. In one moment, Tank will be completely twisted and perverse and then in another he tries to bring beauty into Ivy’s life with claiming words.

Ivy is a hot mess; she’s strung out and craves what the drugs allow her to forget. Jenner does an amazing job of illustrating how deeply conflicted Ivy is when it comes to Tank and what he wants as well as her need for the high and pain. It’s made immensely clear how and why Ivy chose the path that she’s on, and it’s a journey that NO ONE should have to endure. But it says a lot about Ivy that amidst her struggles, she finds a way to fight…it doesn’t occur immediately and Jenner takes Ivy as well as readers through a tumultuous path to get there, but her clarity begins and ends with Tank by her side, protecting her and soothing her like only he can.

Tank is an amazingly emotional and captivating read. Carmen Jenner's introspective look into the minds of Tank and Ivy and the demons that they battle on sometimes an hourly basis completely blew me away. Jenner expertly captures how truly jacked up people become from the torturous events of their past and the damage it not only does on their bodies but their psyches as well.

This is dark romance at its finest, and I can’t wait see how she brings Jett into the light!

So I just finished Tank, and went to go write my review, so I just sat there looking at my computer screen, just staring, for the life of me I just couldn't sort my emotions out to write. I am not usually one to read a dark read, but I couldn't wait to get my hands on this little beauty. Tank gave me all the feels, hated Tank, loved Tank, hated Ivy, loved Ivy, wanted to throw my Kindle, wanted to hug my Kindle.
Tank and Ivy's pasts were heartbreaking, and their were definitely a few tears shed. But no real healing I think could have been done while they were both on there own journey, but there together journey, was heart wrenching, beautiful, tragic and just Amazing. Thank you Carmen Jenner for an amazing story, can't wait for more in the series.

After reading Kick, I already knew that Carmen's Savage Saints MC series was not for the faint of heart. Lucky for me I tend to lean towards those gritty, utterly f-d up reads. After reading her warning in Tank, I wish I can tell you that it prepared me for what was to come in this book. But here's the thing, nothing and I mean nothing could have prepared me for what this story did to me. NOTHING. If you think Kick was hard to read, think again, because Tank will break you. Have you ever read a book with your heart in your throat and your stomach in knots the entire time? I'm talking until the last f-ing page here. This book owned me. It was devastatingly emotional, gritty AF, and harder to swallow than a shards of glass. This was undoubtedly the best MC book I have read all year. Period.

Admittedly I did not like Ivy when I first met her in Kick as his club wh$re. She was a strung out junkie and I found myself doubting how someone like that can be a heroine, much less deserve and balance out the intensity that is Tank. Wow oh wow, but I'll never doubt Carmen Jenner again. Not only did she pull that off, but she do flawlessly.

Forget her pain, forget her present, and most definitely forget her past. Having lived through unimaginable horror at the hands of someone that should have protected her, she's a shell of the girl she once was and she doesn't see a road back to normal ever again. She's shattered and no one can help her pick up the pieces, especially the man that's determined to.

Tank is a man to be feared; a hitman for his MC, he's not afraid to get his hands dirty. He's also determined to be the hands that puts Ivy back together again, whether she wants it or not.

Tank was everything. Here you have a man that's a killer, but his love for this broken woman is a palpable thing. You feel it pulse with every one of his actions, words, and thoughts. It was heartbreakingly good. While Kick was more an MC read with a side of romance, I found Tank to be that perfect balance. It was still that gritty MC read but it was interwoven seamlessly into the romance. It's a story of pain and devastation, perseverance and strength. It was tragic and beautiful. But aside from anything else it was absolutely unputdownable.

It's not an easy read. Not even close. I felt this book on a visceral level and I still find myself unable to stop thinking about it days after finishing.

It was just that good.

This was without a doubt, Carmen Jenner's best book to date. The woman truly outdid herself with this incredible story. To take a heroine that's that broken and be able to solidify her strength with every page is no small feat. To be able to take a biker that deals in death but give him a heart of gold without taking anything away from his intensity is no small feat. To take a story that can gut you one minute and leave you a shattered mess, just to pick you up with a beautiful emotion the next is no small feat. To be able to give readers a truly gritty and violent world but without making it be gratuitously violent but just fit is no small feat. And yet Carmen managed to do all of it while captivating her readers with each devastating page. I won't lie, it was hard as he!! to read, but it just made it that much more beautiful to survive it at the end. I recommend this book for anyone that wants to experience a true MC read. One that will grab you by the throat and no let go until the end, and it's sure AF one you won't be forgetting any time soon. Bravo, Miss Jenner. Bravo.
HASH(0xb1ed21e0) out of 5 stars Dark and painful subject matter, but also a love story of two fighters. 5 stars 5 October 2015

I don't even know how to put this review in words. It is dark, disturbing, uncomfortable in many parts, but a love story at it's core.
Ivy and Tank have overcome so much over their short lives and they keep fighting even when one of them wants to just give up and give in to the drugs, to the rough sex, to the violence, to the ugly past they keep trying to run from. But there is fight in there if you have someone to fight for and if you feel worthy.
"You make it hurt in ways it doesn't have to. You make me remember when all I want is to forget. I could never love you."
This story is told in dual POV from Tank and Ivy. It also includes flashbacks to their lives from when they were younger. Horrendous flashbacks that could really disturb some readers. So take that with a huge warning. But the writing is phenomenal and the story at it's core is excellent. You just have to dig for it. The happiness and everything is there, but it's kind of covered and blurred by the darkness.
I truly enjoyed seeing another side of the MC that we first saw in Kick's book. We lived mostly in the MC compound in that book, but this one was mostly at Tank's house. I liked that aspect because not everything takes place with the whole crew. But I did miss them. The little we got of Jett, Prez, Crazy and mention of Kick was a nice tease, but this story was mostly away from the MC, even when Tank was doing his work.
I loved the chemistry between the two and I loved seeing the big, bad Tank hold out on the chick he just wanted to make his old lady. It did not sound like him at all, but apparently he can call Ivy a b*tch and still show her the love and how much he truly cares at the same time. I didn't know if I could like him, but he made me a believer in all his caresses and the way he could just hold Ivy.
"Talk to me. Use me as your f*&%in punchin bag. Let me be your drug. Let me help you forget. I don't care how you do it, but find another way because I can't watch you die, Ivy.
Seriously, even in the dark aspects, I swooned. How can you not when the big bad biker does everything in his power to protect you from a past he knows so little about? And Ivy's past is not pretty. That may be why it took me awhile to even really like her. I still wasn't so sure until over 50% in. But she is a Warrior Princess and she will fight.
While this is a great story that is well written and well told, just be forewarned that it is not pretty and it won't be enjoyable for much of it. It's hard to swallow, but if you can hold on to the belief and fight that these 2 characters have, you will understand that this story needed to be told.
A job well-done, Carmen Jenner!
