Jacob Chance just keeps getting better, one of his best works yet.
Tackled is Book 4 in the Boston Terrier Series and it is feisty, fun and full of sass. (can be read as a standalone.)
Tackled follows the story of Trevor Lincoln (son of former NFL Star player Lawrence Lincoln) you could be excused for thinking life for Trevor is pretty sweet, his family is loaded, his dad and his brother Brady are legends and he quite possibly could get anything he wanted by just bringing his smouldering good looks and his witty personality to charm the pants of any girl he meets until her, until Grace Duffy.
Grace is one of the new recruits on the Boston Terries woman’s football team and so far her flaming red hair is a perfect match for her feisty personality, two things that are intriguing for Trevor. Unlike most girls Grace is not falling for his charms, they were brought up in two very different worlds, ones that were too far distant from the other yet somehow could possibly work. See how these two deal with a misunderstanding that threatens to come between them once and for all.
Follow these two as they try to navigate life, love and loss. You will swoon, laugh out loud and experience some jolts to the heart in this one. Thoroughly Recommended Read, Tackled Delivers it all. I’ve been Tackled
This is another very enjoyable story, which can easily be read as a Standalone, but for those of us who have read the previous books in this series,it is yet again, another welcome addition. The book blurb gives enough away,so I won't go into much detail as to all that happens,so not to spoil things, but I will say that (not to take anything away from his other works) Jacob writes the 'sports romance' very well-there is a good balance of the game details(I'm not a follower of sports but I do like reading in this genre)along with the rest of the story, that the reader is fully engaged from start to finish. I loved that their journey to a HEA wasn't just a quick, hot tale...Grace doesn't fall for Trevor right away, and there are some funny interactions between them, leading up to the inevitable. Both of them do have issues, and of course there is some drama/angst along the way.Another plus point for me,was the recurring characters having some involvement in the story ,along with the introduction of new ones (meaning more to come-no pressure Jacob!) All in all, with DUAL POV's,a well written, and thought out addition to this series, and I can't wait to see what/who's next!
I think i say it everytime but Jacobs writing just continues to get better and better with every story he writes... he manages to draw us into the story with his characters instantly not wanting to let go until the very end... and even then we want to read more! This book can be read as a stand alone but i would always recommend that you read the others in this series first so you learn more about all characters involved. So this book is about Grace and Trevor who both play for the Terriers football teams... they have a group of friends together but they live different lives leading Grace to not want anything to do with him. Im not wanting to give anything away about this story as i think the blurb explains all you need but this is definitely a enemies to friends to lovers story you dont want to miss out on! I honestly cant wait for the next story in this series to come out! Well done yet again Jacob!
Trevor and Grace have friends and football in common. Grace thinks he's arrogant but Trevor thinks they would be good together. Starting a relationship through friendship they find chemistry that heats them both up. Secrets and misunderstanding causes issues that they both have to fight to be understood. This was a great read that kept me hooked and gasping for the HEA!
Loved reading about Trevor and Grace. His the rich kid she anit. Trevor fancies Grace but she holds no interest in him, or so she says. Things start to heat up when he starts to work for her dad , will she go for his advances loved the banter between them
What can I say about this book. It's hot. It's sweet. It's angsty. Most of all it is a great story. Loving this Boston Terriers series and can't wait to read the next one. Definitely a recommended read.
This is my favourite book in the series! I loved how sweet and caring Trevor was and how much he worshiped and worked hard to get Grace! The chemistry between the H and h was palpable. The epilogue was also amazing and I'm happy we finally got to see a wedding in this series!
