4 bay NAS, upgradable to 9, had this for a year now and it's worked flawlessly. Very easy to setup and works with Plex, so streaming media is effortless. Has SSH access (terminal) if you want to get down to it, but not really needed in most cases. Would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a 4 bay NAS.
Where to start? one of the best products I have ever bought. And I buy a lot :) Anyway, I bought it as a regular storage in mind. I knew I can install some apps and extend the usage but did not realize how much capable this machine is. there are two main apps that have blown my mind. first one is docker. it has replaced my home assistant instance which I was running on a RPI earlier. Then plex server in another container which was earlier running on my mac mini. I am also running pihole in another container.
The second app is the virtual machine manager. I have moved 2 large virtual machines, which I was running on a macmini earlier on to this. they are huge (250 gb each). I never thought this NAS could handle 4 docker containers and 2 virtual machines with out any issues. the cpu never crossed 40% (peak), usual stays under 10%. Also I have upgraded my ram to 16gb though they say the maximum is 8GB, it works flawlessly. definitely recommend this.
