I purchase this book on special for Kindle on my pc and was totally enthralled only for the book to stop and carry on with an excerpt from another book from Michael Connelly (which I also want to read)
so I paid for a book on special only to find it was no more than an excerpt from two books.
I might try some more Amazon Kindle books but not if this underhand practice is normal.
I notice, now, the book description says it is 68 pages.
Fair warning if you read fine print.
Wasn't a story. Was a prologue.
I was going to ask who was the clown who gave it a star.
But I see, now, it is the only way to get the review to submit.

I see that there are currently 88 reviews on the US Amazon site, of which 76 give only 1 star for exactly the same reason, so they must have priced it ridiculously high there too. I would have thought Amazon would be trying to help get Bosch as much publicity as possible, because he is the subject of one of their first forays into television, but the only publicity that this book will get is bad.
He should be paying me for this rubbish!
This is just the latest in a number of Kindle books I've received that seem to have been converted to the format and not subsequently properly checked for quality or accuracy. Nonsensical layout, poor spacing, incorrect OCR transcription and other careless incidents spoil what should be a good product. It's little wonder that conventional print books are regaining popularity.
WHAT A LOAD OF OLD FLANNEL.
