Product Description

With an ex fiancé leaving her in debt, breaking up with her girlfriend and struggling to find a place she can afford, Sophie McKenna has hit an all-time low. Everyone thinks she’s a lesbian, and she likes it that way, but her estranged parents know better.

The foul-mouthed motocross mechanic, Rocco De Luca, only has his incarcerated brother left. Every day is a battle of the mind and of the bottle. Tequila and easy women soothe the pain, but they never fill the void.

Rocco doesn’t mind offering his spare room to the hot lesbian he refers to as ‘Suds’. She won’t be clingy, far from it, and he’s keen on the idea of getting to see a bit of girl on girl action.

With such volatile personalities under the same roof, and being in April and Spencer’s wedding party, they both have to learn to get along, even though they can’t stand each other.

He never thought he might actually grow to like her.

She never thought she might actually hate him less.

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Jennifer Ryder's books and I've absolutely loved them all in this series so far...... this book, Switch, is no different... I absolutely love love loved it..... We meet Sophie McKenna who's really finding life tough at present.... she's been duped by her ex who left her in debt, she then breaks up with her girlfriend and struggles to find a place to live which she can afford as well as paying her debts....... She moves in with her best friend April and her fiancé Spencer (who we have previously met in Book 3 "Strike") Through them she meets the foul mouthed motor mechanic Rocco De Lucca...... Rocco has a spare room and offers it to Sophie (or Suds as he call's her)...... Rocco is quite happy to have the hot lesbian as his new room mate....... Rocco's had a pretty tough life, the only family he has left is his brother "V" who is currently in jail..... He uses Tequila and "easy" women to help him get through....... How will these two volatile people handle living together?????? Will sparks fly?????? How much Tequila is too much?????? With April and Spencer's Wedding on the horizon how will the Sophie and Rocco handle it as they are partnered together?????? There are twists and turns coming from all directions that you won't see coming...... again this is another fantastic read.......
I received an ARC From the author for an honest review, I also purchased a copy....

Sophie had intrigued me from the moment I read about her in the previous Spark series books. I liked her tang, her peppery tongue.
I loved her honesty, her fierce loyalty. Rocco was cute, the supposedly rugged, dirty grease monkey. Loved his mouth, and that his 'Mumma' did a nice job of domesticating him.

Rocco De Luca and Sophie McKenna don't like each other, but when Sophie breaks up with her partner and has to find somewhere to live Rocco offers his spare room. It was only temporary until she gets back up on her feet. As Sophie and Rocco get to know one another their relationship changes to a friendship with teasing and good times had by all. When they open up to each other about the problems in their lives that they haven't told anyone is a real changing point in their friendship.

I loved this book. I wasn't sure I'd love Rocco but he really grew on me.

I was lucky enough to win an advanced readers copy from Glass Paper Ink blog.

Switch (Spark, #5)Switch by Jennifer Ryder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*** Gifted in exchange for an honest Review ***

I read this book a while back, but it affected me a bit so I waited until the angst had passed.

I have loved this series of Jennifers since the first but I will agree you can read this book as a standalone.

Sophie Mckenna has a lot of baggage, shes broke, and has had a few bad situations get her to a point where she's hit rock bottom.

When you hit that all time low you expect your parents to be there to support you - but no, Sophie's choice in partners had her parents in uproar, so she is on her own.

Sleeping on her friends couch, she's working every shift she can to pay off the debt the lousy ex fiance left her with, its not ideal so when Rocco De Luca, the MX Team's mechanic, offers her the spare room in his apartment, she reluctantly agrees.

Rocco thinks it will be fun to have ‘Suds’ as he nicknamed her staying, she won’t be clingy, and he's hoping to catch a glimpse of his own personal peep show from time to time, little does he know that Sophie is Bi and at the moment swearing off either persuasion.

He never thought he might actually grow to like her.

She never thought she might actually hate him less.

There is more to this story than a clash of personalities and the heat of sexual frustration. In fact I would say this is the best book of the series yet, and I loved them all.

The storyline has a kick of a twist that had me bawling like a baby, so be warned you will need tissues at one point.

But as the pair slowly realise that there is more to the other than they first thought, you watch a beautiful relationship grow and blossom.
