Sawyer is a City Boy spending the summer holidays on his uncle's farm. It's not his ideal but he has no choice and gets on with the hard work.
Cheyenne is used to spending her time on her own since losing her father. She has an attraction to Sparrows with good reasons too.
Whilst Cheyenne was sunbathing near the farm of Wyatt, Sawyer's uncle, Sawyer spots her and realises that she is upset. He approaches her and tries to make light out of things. They soon become friends and start spending most of their time together. Cheyenne who doesn't usually open up to anyone finds herself telling Sawyer her secrets. Wyatt on the other hand is not totally honest with her even when he finds himself falling for her. Cheyenne's mother is a self centered selfish character who always puts herself first. She makes a revelation which destroys all of Wyatt's hope and future plans. His lack of transparency doesn't help either.
Cheyenne and Sawyer are very much in love with each other but the new family event puts an end to this beautiful relationship. They are put in each other's path six years later by new circumstances and the past comes flowing back. Has either of them ever got over what they once had and what could have been? Can they put their heartbreak behind and give themselves another chance?
This is a beautifully written love story. Cheyenne is a lonely and lost soul who finds solace in Sawyer. Sawyer is lovable and considerate despite his own sad circumstances. It's heartbreaking at times. I felt like giving Cheyenne a good shake on many occasions. I like the friendship between Cheyenne, Bryan and Cori. I would recommend this beautiful romance.
