Product Description

An all new second chance love story by the New York Times Bestselling author of the Driven series.

It all started with the invitation. To my ex-fiance’s new wedding.

I should have ignored it. Thrown it away. Set it afire. But I didn’t. I replied.

With a plus one.

And then my assistant accidentally mailed it.

Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye.

When he showed up out of the blue ten years later, I should have known to steer clear of him. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex’s wedding. I should have never let him kiss me.

But I didn’t.

And now we’re left wondering if the pieces of the life we once shared still fit together somehow. First loves are hard to forget. The question is, do we want to forget? Or do we risk the chance and see what happens next?

From the beginning we're learning Saylor is invited to her fiancé's wedding and what's worse is that the RSVP was mailed back as "attending" by accident. Just when you don't think the story will become more interesting Hayes, Saylor's first love from 10 years ago comes walking into her bakery. Both of them have made careers for themselves, Saylor opened Sweet Cheeks and Hayes now a famous actor. I loved seeing what happens over the few days when Hayes convinces Saylor to still go to the destination wedding that he'll attend as her plus one and support system. This is a great second chance story that's both sweet and sexy.

A new book from K. Bromberg - Sweeeeet!!

Firstly, I want to be the lucky lady who gets to put her handprints all over that body!

It was a nice break away from the racing world with Ms Bromberg's Sweet Cheeks.

And sweet is exactly what this book is about.

From cupcake queen Saylor to her Hollywood hottie ex Hayes, this book is going to give you a toothache.

There are plenty of sad moments, happy moments, funny moments and sexy moments as this pair who have been apart for 10 years reminisce and come together again to combat her ex fiance and his viperous family and friends.

I loved Saylor's brother Ryder, and I feel that he needs his own book!

Whilst this is a sweet book, I wanted a bit more heat between our lovelies. There was a lot of lead up to the sexy actions - it is probably just my pervy mind but I wanted more boom chica wow woooooow.

And Hayes in that last 1/4 of the book - can we say swoonworthy?

Sweet Cheeks is a sweet, sexy second chance romance that left me wanting more.

So, Saylor Rogers has recently broken up with her pompous fiancé and has embarked on her long held dream to run her own cup cake shop. Then comes 'the' invitation. Mitch the ex has invited Saylor to his new wedding. What's a girl to do? Definitely don't fill out the RSVP, or place it in the envelope where your assistant can find it and mail it off. Oh yeah that's right, that's exactly what happens! So now the decision is to go or not to go?
Enter big brother Ryder and his idea of a fix, call in a long standing favour to his best friend Hayes Whitely, who just happens to be a Hollywood heartthrob and Saylor's first love. What could possibly go wrong?
Add in conniving ex almost in-laws a slightly deranged Hollywood starlet and attending a wedding you planned and there is a recipe for disaster.
At the start I really wanted to dislike Hayes for abandoning Saylor 10 years prior but I knew there'd be more to that story, and there was. I loved that Saylor worked so hard to live her dream even in the face of adversity and the spiteful nature of Mitch and his cronies.
Of course there's way more to contend with before Saylor and Hayes can be together but the journey was well worth it.

Saylor Rodgers can't believe her ex-boyfriend is sending her an invitation to his wedding; a wedding that would have been theirs, if they hadn't broken up. With the choice of whether she'll go or not taken out of her hands by accident, Saylor knows there's only one way she'll be able to get through the event and that's by accepting her high school sweetheart's offer of going with her. The only thing is he's a famous actor and if there's someone with a camera around and a shot to be taken, he'll be front and center. But when the spotlight is shined on her and not in a positive way, can Saylor handle the attention or will she run from her second chance with Hayes Whitley?

This book was recommended to me by a couple of book blogs I follow, and I've got to say that I'm absolutely glad I took the chance on reading it, because it was incredible. Saylor receiving her ex's wedding invitation and whether she'll accept or decline the invite sets the fast-pace of this story, and makes this book a real page turner, as I wondered how she was going to handle the choices she makes. Will she give Hayes another chance, even though he's more than likely to leave again once the wedding is over? How will she handle all the horrible things people are saying about her because she left her ex? How far will she go to make certain her bakery starts prospering instead of her needing to close the doors on her dream?

The dialogue was well-written and the perfect combination of intense and playful. The intense due to the main characters back stories, especially that of the hero because of what's happening between him and one of his former co-stars. Then there's the history between Saylor and Hayes that doesn't make it easy for the heroine to give him another chance after how he left ten years ago.

Amazing, beautiful, adorable, heartwarming, sweet... there aren't enough words to describe how perfect this book is.

I won't lie... I was nervous... Kristy does broken bad boy better than any author I've read, and she does the Driven series (my absolute favourite series ever) so knowing she was breaking away from those characters scared me aswel as excited me... I have no idea what I was scared about... Kristy can do swooney superstar just as epically as broken bad boys.

I loved these characters, I want more of these characters... one of my top reads of the year
