About the Author

Jackson Hanks is a former mayor of his hometown, Palestine, Texas, serving three terms in that capacity. During his tenure, he received the prestigious Road Hand Award from the Texas Department of Transportation, being its 126th recipient in the State of Texas. Jackson is a board-certified lawyer in Texas with specialization in residential real estate law and farm & ranch real estate law. He also owns and manages Texas First Title Company, LLC. In 2015, Jackson was selected by the local Chamber of Commerce as the community's Citizen of the Year. Jackson's work as a lawyer and title company manager do not define him. Nor do his efforts spent volunteering for non-profit organizations that work to improve the quality of life in the community. Those who meet and work with Jackson learn he encourages and does his best to empower everyone to become their best. The real work Jackson has done in his life is overcoming horrific experiences in childhood. He has worked with extraordinary practitioners to learn the lessons and driving forces behind them and done the work to overcome them all. --This text refers to the paperback edition.

Personally, Jackson’s life journey led him to work with extraordinarily gifted professionals. Their guidance, wisdom, counseling and touch helped him heal from hideous childhood wounds. It wasn’t a quick fix, but instead a process that lead him down many unusual paths.

Professionally, he has been a board certified lawyer in Texas (Farm & Ranch Real Estate as well as Residential Real Estate) since 1988. He’s an owner/manager of Texas First Title Company in Palestine, Texas.

Civically, Jackson has served on numerous non-profit boards (chairing several) in his community, served as his town’s mayor for three terms (1989-1995), was the Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce citizen of the Year (2015). He also received the prestigious Texas Department of Transportation’s Road Hand Award (1991) as the 126th recipient in the State of Texas.

A shameful man with issues. Why why, write this? If people in that small town abused you why do you still live in that town??? A grown man whining & pitiful when he makes no changes in life. Victim player. Things he denied are lies, locals know are true, so how can are we to believe anything he calls truth?? A man with education (lawyer & mortgage knowledge) can go anywhere to get away from seeing people daily who abused you ( as you claim) but you stay to wallow in it. Ridiculous.
