Product Description

New York Police Detective, Kate Morgan carries many secrets. The black sheep of America’s most notorious crime family, she walks a fine line between her commitment to truth and justice and the obligations demanded from her family.

FBI agent Grant Anderson, embraces his role and place in the Anderson family, America’s richest and most philanthropic example of good will and kindness. His loyalty ends however, with his family’s expectations of marrying the right girl.

For thousands of years, the Morgans and Andersons have been sworn enemies. Clans, steadfast in their loyalty and commitment as handpicked first families to the Devil and God. Both sides tread carefully, maintaining the balance between Virtue, Sin, and Immortality, enduring each other only twice a century, during the Summit of Good and Evil.

With the mysterious murder of Gus Morgan, the balance is threatened and the future of humanity in jeopardy. Treading through a minefield of treachery and deceit, Kate and Grant must solve this murder, face their attraction, and stop a family feud before all hell comes crashing down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great balance between good and evil! 19 October 2016
By Rebecca A - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Kate Morgan is a New York police detective and the black sheep of her notorious crime family. She is trying to stop her family and has made it her mission to bring them down but it is proving very difficult.

Grant Anderson is an FBI Agent and from a very rich and philanthropic family. He is also working to bring down criminals and is after the same one as Kate.

When Kate and Grant are unknowingly brought together at the Summit between the Morgan and Anderson families will they put aside their past tension to work together when one member is killed? Will they be able to discover who is at the root of all the problems when it is clear that someone is trying to sway the balance between good and evil?

I really enjoyed this book with the touch of paranormal that really doesn't seem far fetched when you learn about the main characters of the story. The story is the basic concept of good and evil and how we maintain the equilibrium between the two, knowing sometimes you have players on each side that don't necessarily believe in the cause.

Kate Morgan is the black sheep of her family and does not agree with anything that they do. I loved the scenes between her and her mother as the relationship was filled with so much animosity and tension that the dialogue was extremely amusing. Almost right away you hated that side of the family with the exception of Julian and Jake Riley. Those two guys were great and I'd love for them to get their own books!!

Grant Anderson was a guy from your dreams! Tough and from a good family! I love how much he supported Kate and stood up for her when necessary with her family. He walked a fine line with Kate but wanted her no matter what anyone said!

I was definitely surprised when I discovered the identity of one of the people behind it all!

This was the first time I have read this author and it certainly will not be my last!
2.0 out of 5 stars Just not into romance novels masquerading as thrillers. 2 February 2017

Format: Kindle Edition
I hate to pan books recognizing the work an author puts into writing and the complicated process of getting it to market. I also recognize that there are many people people who will enjoy this supernatural thriller slash romance novel. Personally I do not enjoy romance novel and so I found it annoying that a book promoted as a supernatural thriller was in fact a romance book. Personally I found that I was asked to suspend disbelief at too great a level and also that Grant Anderson's relationship with the detective reinforces the damsel in distress stereotype I worked hard to prevent my daughters from becoming. While I hope others enjoy this novel I just didn't. Sorry.
5.0 out of 5 stars MUST READ! 16 November 2016

Surviving the Summit of Good and Evil had me hooked from the first word until the very last!!! Katherine Morgan, the main female character, is a descendant of the Devil and Grant, the main male character, the descendant of God. Kate may be a Morgan but she doesn't follow their evil ways. She chooses to be good and her family has tried to kill her numerous times for it. We see them fall in love and fight for what they want and in the end, it all comes together!

Christine is a very good story teller and this book was no different! You will be hooked the moment you pick up this good read!!!!
4.0 out of 5 stars A Book With A View -- Of EVIL 23 August 2016

Surviving the Summit of Good and Evil has it all; it is a crime mystery with a supernatural twist, and a tantalizing love story. The protagonist, Kate Morgan, has an extreeeeemly dysfunctional family. You can't help feeling sorry for her, yet she is a tough gal. So much so, that this is a fun book to read. It would be great on a long train ride through the mountains. The story line has a a strong plot, with plenty of action, that simply carries the reader along. I would certainly recommend this book.
