I was curious to know how Robbie and Tim's relationship would develop after all they went through in the previous novel. And in this regard it was nice to know they kept dating, despite the fact that the author did not deepen the way the MCs felt in relation to each other. Of course there are the 'I love you's, but they seemed to be kind of repetitive throughout the book. We get Robbie felt Tim was the one and vice-versa, but the storyline went too much factual, presenting readers with Nicky's confusing love life, the formation of new couples and the revelation of Robbie's dark secret.
I missed the way Ames explored Robbie's dreams and how they were related to his traumatic past in the previous book. The secret is revealed around the middle of this novel, and after that all Robbie does is worry about his friends' problems and wonder what lies ahead of them.
Robbie and Tim are such a nice couple and I wished we could have gotten more of how they thought of each other, how their love became more solid and how they faced the changes graduation would bring into their lives.
Senior Year is a nice reading, but not the best book in the series. It seems there is more to come, since readers are left with a mystery regarding one of the characters decision at the end of the story.
Although Robbie and Tim's love has a 5-star quality, I gave Senior year a 3-star rate mainly due to the lack of development of the MCs relationship and the persistent editing problems that could have been solved with a better proof reading.
