5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing end to a trilogy!! 4 March 2017

We were left with so many questions at the end of Book 2 that I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book.

Does Mark get his memory back? Will Brooklyn finally take RJ down? These are just a few of the questions you are left with and want to know starting this book. This book had my heart in my throat and going a mile a minute as I read page after page.

Elizabeth York is one of those authors that when you start reading you do not want to put it down. That is how this book was for me. I started it later in the day and when it came time for bed... Well, let's just say that it was a late night reading because I did not want to nor could I just stop.

This is a series to read and although I loved Mark and Brooklyn's Finale... I am left with a book hangover wanting more of them.
5.0 out of 5 stars Will you "Survive" or you will become a "Forget-me-not"? 28 February 2017

Reading the final book in this series, I was excited cause we see more Brooklyn, but I am not certain that I want this to be the last book. The author did kinda leave it where she could continue the series if she chooses to, but left you satisfied in the how the story ended should this be the true end of this series. With this said, if you have not read this series you must start in order for it picks up where it left off in the prior two books.
We get answers that we were asking along with some much expected twists that never did I imagine being dropped on us. I truly didn't know if I was going to "survive" Brooklyn or become one of the "forget-me-nots". There were a few times that I wanted to shake Mark too. His memory loss was a main factor for his what I will call "rude" behavior towards Brooklyn while he is trying to put his life back together, but his sweet moments will make your heart swoon. No matter who or what tries to destroy Brooklyn, Mark is the one she belongs with, but can the killer be stopped and will Mark be safe? These are just two questions that you will want answers to in this story. This story is intense driven from beginning to end and the passion between these two continue even with Mark trying to recover from his memory loss.
There isn't much more I can say without giving away spoilers so I am just going to say, if you have not yet read this series, I highly recommend you too. If you have read this series and need more from this author, I suggest reading her Water Series, cause we get to see Jax and Candice's story. Will you "survive" or will you be "forgotten"? This is the question you need to ask before starting this series and then determine if you got it right cause the Brooklyn Bridge never looked so scary and romantic at the same time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing ending to the trilogy! 28 February 2017

Survived By Brooklyn is the third and final book of the Brooklyn series and cannot be read as a standalone - you need to have read the first two books to be able follow the story.

This book is guaranteed to leave you with a massive book hangover. My heart was racing pretty much the whole way through, and I wanted to climb into my kindle and deal with RJ myself! I am not going to give many details about the plot because I do not want to give away any spoilers, but Survived by Brooklyn picks up where book two left off. Mark is struggling with his memory loss and slowly learning who he was before being shot. He still feels a connection and heat between him and Brooklyn, but the flashes of memory he has has him doubting whether or not he can trust her. When the forget-me-not killings start again, will Mark be able to save Brooklyn or will she be as lost to him as his memories?

Survived by Brooklyn wrapped up the series perfectly, but left the door open for Elizabeth York to explore the characters further in this, or another, series (The Water series follows Jax and Candice). It was full of surprises, twists and turns and had plenty of edge of your seat moments. Brooklyn and Mark have always been great characters, and although I wanted to slap Mark a couple of times, he was dealing with a lot so I can forgive him. The love between the two is so real, and I enjoyed the softer moments shared between them, and that they would only show their vulnerable side to each other. I am sad to see the end of Brooklyn and Mark's story, but this was fantastic way to finish. I would definitely recommend Survived by Brooklyn.
5.0 out of 5 stars Book 3 of the Trilogy --Amazing!!! 8 March 2017

I am giving all of three of these books-- 4 tiaras:

These are great books if you like the cop and the best friend and the romance/ they are never going to get together but they both love each other books. I do like them but there is so much more to these books! I really could not put them down and had to go to work after reading allllll night! There are many twists and turns in these books and you may think that everything is going to be okay and then the emotional roller coaster starts again.
The only reason that I am giving them 4 tiaras is because I saw several mistakes in grammar and I feel like some of it started to drag in the middle and could guess what was coming. There was so many times I guessed wrong that when I guessed right, I felt let down. That led me to believe that the book could have done better at that time.
Still If you like things like “Castle” where the girl is strong-minded and she doesn’t take crap, but she still needs to know that someone has her back once in a while this is a good series for you.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brooklyn just wants Mark to get better, and following advice from his doctors 28 February 2017

The finale to this trilogy is here. Will Mark get his memory back and will Brooklyn finally take RJ down? These were the questions I had going into this and what a ride we take getting the answers.

Mark doesn’t know if he can trust Brooklyn seeing as things keep happening to make him doubt her and he doesn’t remember their life before he was shot. He’s slowly learning who he is, who she is to him and how to live basically, even having to relearn his role as an NYPD Detective. He understandably struggles with it all and some memory flashes mess with his head even more.

Brooklyn just wants Mark to get better, and following advice from his doctors, she keeps things from him that affect him greatly. It’s incredibly hard though when he’s pushing and pulling her, not sure how to act with her, and the fact that his memory being gone could be the thing that destroys her case in getting RJ sent away for a long time.

When RJ gets out of jail on a technicality, the murders start up again, and now the pair are faced with not only getting on with their lives, whether it be together or apart, but they also have to try to actually stay alive, now that the serial killer with an obsession for Brooklyn is back on the streets.

Wow, so many secrets revealed in this finale, so many twists and OMG moments that it was just crazy at times. I really enjoyed it though and I’m glad it all wrapped up the way it did. Although this was the finale, it was left in a way that the author could probably carry on with it if she so wished. I would recommend reading the Water Series right after, if you haven’t already, as those are Jax and Candice’s story. I’ve read them and really enjoyed them. As for Survived by Brooklyn, I give it 4.5 stars.
