very informativeReviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 January 2015
This book is helpful but frank. Illustrates the diversity and yet paradoxically the sameness of the MLC. I highly recommend it for bruised hearts who are ready to face the truth.

This is a good resource for any woman having the great misfortune of dealing with a mid life crisis husband. Bottom line, you have to take care of you. These selfish jerks do not deserve their husband's love, compassion, or to wait for their man to possibly snap out of it. Rarely do these men snap out of it and return to their wives. The best thing I did was detach and put myself and kids first. I was blindsided by my husband. One day he seemingly loved and defended me, the other he wants a divorce out of nowhere and does it in a cruel, disrespectful, careless way. I don't know who this person is. It is scary how he changed in a flip of a switch. The only thing I didn't like about the book was I think the authors should have highlighted more about the reality that these men rarely change and to encourage wives to move on rather than hang on. I would have done anything for my marriage and husband but the reality is he cares more about himself and his selfish wants than me. I'd have liked tools on moving on WITHOUT this selfish jerk and how to recover my self esteem.

Frankly this book at times made me feel WORSE not betterReviewed in the United States on 6 November 2016
I was hoping for more coping strategies not a lot of stories. Frankly this book at times made me feel WORSE not better!! Also the Kindle version is terrible, no Table of Contents to navigate. The one good thing is it does link you to the mid life wifes club website and forum, if not for this I would probably give it 1 star.

A very good book for women who are dealing with their husband's midlife crisis. I wish the book would have talked a little more about men who go through their crisis and simply vanish on their wife and family. But if your husband is still at home, this is a great resource!

Good bookReviewed in the United States on 29 January 2013
So far I'm getting a lot out of this book. There are certain sections that I skipped to first to read because they were important to my situation. If your husband is going through a midlife crisis, I would definitely recommend this book. It's very helpful and insightful into this sort of crisis. If you are looking for some magic way to cure his crisis there is none but this book will help guide you and keep you sane through it all.
