Product Description

***The Book that’s too hot to handle is back!***

Liam Wright is the playboy at college. He’s part of the screw-crew.
It’s better to stay away from him, but you can’t tell your heart what to want.

He’ll judge me.

He won’t understand.

It’s easy to judge someone because of their past. I’m scared Liam will be just like all the other people.
But he doesn’t judge me. He comes into my life and refuses to leave. He doesn’t give up on me.
He helps me accept the guilt that lives inside of me, because it also lives inside of him.

We’re both damaged by the past.

We’re both looking for someone who will understand.

We’re both looking for someone we can surrender to.

But it’s hard surrendering all your broken pieces.

“Some feathers will fall along the way, but new ones will always grow back. It doesn’t make the old feathers less important because they kept you flying for so long – they kept you alive.”

Warning: This book has a filthy-talking hero that’s guaranteed to make you hot. HEA are always more satisfying when the characters have to fight for it. If you're looking for the right mixture of dirty and sweet, a jaw-dropping, panty-melting page turner then jump right in.

This is the first book by this author that I have read and I can assure you I am really pleased to have discovered al new author.

Milan at sixteen knows that her life in the cult she lives in is suffocating her bit by bit. Liam has escaped one cult prior and has nothing but hatred towards all cults. Both young people are united with a chemistry that is sizzling.

This story is so much more than a romance, it explores pathways into some deep areas that are very thought provoking. The suspense element underneath the storyline gives it an edge that keeps you wondering what will happen. Some twists in the plot also changes things up.

Being quite fast paced the story is very easy to read. Great character and setting descriptions take you, the reader, into Mila and Liam's world. I now want to know more about secondary characters, the story definitely has peaked my interest.

4++ Michelle Horst is a new to me author, and she definitely left a lasting impression. I enjoyed this story and quickly became attached to both Mila and Liam. I’m having such a hard time writing this review but, I’m not sure why. I didn’t cry when I read it (I did vent to friends and slam some things around). As I’m writing this review I’m actually in tears, again I’m not exactly sure why, relief? Maybe?

So here it goes…. It was up and down for me as far as writing. When it was good it was so very good. There were a few times when I felt she could have given me a little more. That being said I really enjoyed reading it. This book played with my emotions. I think the whole thing that she left her sister there and then was going to go back but, years later she still hadn’t. It bothered me, I get it but I just wanted her to call the police, FBI and go get her, especially after finding out more about it. But, this story is about so much more than that. It’s about her learning to forgive herself for getting out and her healing after. Her fear everyday, panic attacks, nightmares…..Then Liam. Learning to trust, love, their instant connection. Their love is so sweet but rocky at times, I loved watching it grow.

I felt like Liam’s past experience with his own mom being in a cult and his sister’s death alerted him to the fact that she’s been through something; he couldn’t quite put his finger on. He’s so sweet and protective of Mila. I love when he finally takes a chance and puts his foot down making her tell him everything. It was difficult for him but needed to be done. His dedication to her, understanding what she needed to do really forced him to face something he wanted to leave behind him.

I don’t always read the authors note but I’m glad I did. It really helped me.

The emotions that the characters go through pulls you in. Seeing Mila go from fearing everyone to growing into a confident woman, is an incredible journey to watch. The effect that it had on both being brought up in a cult and how they had to get through the various hurdles was definitely an emotional journey for them.
The bond that Mila and Liam have even when times get rough make you see that sometimes love can conquer all.
There are some twist and turns that leave you surprised and wonder where it can be going and you see the internal battles that both Mila has with events and Liam has feeling the guilt that he didn’t save his sister.
I loved this book and can’t wait to see what Michelle comes up with next – I also loved the authors note at the end of the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars GOOD 1 February 2017

Once again I'm short at words to write review. I don't know how to start, where to start. This story had so much emotions. You feel disgust, pain, anger. You want to sheed tears of helplesness. You keep asking 'How there can be so much monsters out there?'. Then story gifts you with some smiles. It may be mixed with frustration, but you still feel yourself relaxing. Like the worst is in the past. Big mistake! Because suddenly characters are hit with wind from the past and you are hit with those negative emotions all over again.

I'm sorry for my messed review. Lol. But no matter how I tried, I just couldn't put all my emotions and thoughts in order. It's one of the stories, that you hate but love. Characters aren't perfect. They are just real. With dreams, pain, achievements, loses and flaws.

5.0 out of 5 stars Speechless comes to mind. 5 February 2017

It's not often a book leaves me not only speechless but also choked up, A Touch of Lust is one of those very few. Michelle has managed to put into words a love story where Mila and Liam have seen and faced so much and yet they've found a love together that is stronger than the past. Watching these two battle a devastating and tormented past for a future filled with passion, love and life was heartfelt to say the least. Loss is hard and dreams can be lost but if these hurdles aren't faced, the strength, determination and ability to love with a full heart may never be fully recognised. Michelle you have written such a beautiful story, I struggle to give this review the true justice this story deserves. Hold your head high, you deserve to!

(This book is not for sensitive readers, 18+)

I give this book 5/5 stars!!! This book is heartbreaking but it is full of strength and perseverance.

In this book you have Mila and Liam.
At age 14, Mila escaped a cult that she had grown up in before being forced to be married but had to leave her little sister behind.
At age 16, Liam got out of a cult that his mother married into after his sister killed herself because she was going to be married off to an older man.

Years later, they meet at college but neither one knows about the others past. Liam is outgoing and a playboy, part of the “screw-crew” and Mila is quiet and keeps to herself. After Mila has a run in with another boy, Liam jumps into help her. Liam has secretly always liked Mila and finally tells her but Mila is scared because she doesn’t want her past to come back and hurt Liam.

Can two people whose pasts are so alike but so different find peace and love? Or will their  pasts be what tears them apart?
I loved this read. Michelle out did herself on this one. This story is full of heartbreak, love, death, sorrow, happiness, forgiveness. I loved Liam and how he only wanted the best for Mila. I loved how Mila always fought for what she wanted (not going to tell what she is fighting for), even when it was hard and even when others told her she couldn’t.

I knew this story would talk about some topics that can be difficult to discuss but those books don’t bother me at all. I think Michelle did an amazing job at telling both stories and the way she tied their stories together was fantastic. This story was beautifully written and touched my heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book Touched my Heart!!! Amazing read 4 February 2017

Oh my goodness what an amazing and wild book. I honestly could not put it down as it was addicting and full of action and twists. It tugged very hard at my heartstrings as I instantly fell in love with Rosie and Liam. What beautiful characters they are and their bond is just beautiful. I am intrigued and extremely inspired by their continuous strength, especially Liam's. I cannot say the same about their mother ugh she deserves a huge butt kicking to put it mildly lol. I am so glad I read this story last night and it is still on my mind today. I highly recommend this book and author.

This book contains some serious dark subjects so please know that going in.

I was so excited to read this book. I love everything Michelle Horst. I don't think I have the right words to do this review justice though. Mila and Liam are from two different cults and ended up finding each other after escaping that horrible life. Both are very strong yet vulnerable characters. Both of their stories touched me. I think Mila was my favorite part of the story. I love a strong female lead. She was definitely that. Mila went through so much and found the courage, even though deathly afraid, to escape at only 14 years old. She went to school and was trying to make a good life for herself even though she lived in terror every single day. She fought that fear to finish school, have friends and fall in love. I admire her strength so so much. I laughed, cried, felt her fear and fell in love all while reading this book. I have found a new appreciation for feathers and loving the people who come into my life, even when they do eventually leave it. I honestly feel this is one of Michelle Horst's best books she has ever written. I can't imagine the emotions she must have gone through writing this. When you read it, please be sure to read the author's note in the back of the book as well. I honestly wish I could give this book 7 stars. It more than deserves it!
