Product Description

Natalie Dalton can’t hold down a job. It’s not because she is constantly late, has a terrible work ethic or doesn’t try. It’s because she is plagued with a gift she’d rather give back. Natalie can communicate with ghosts—annoying, persistent ghosts who choose to have a word with her at the most inconvenient times, often at work with bosses and colleagues around.

Fired from her umpteenth job and nearly out of cash, Natalie accepts an offer to appear on the low-brow, sensationalist TV talk show, World’s Weirdest Hobbies, to discuss her unusual ability, but more importantly to collect a paycheck. Unfortunately, a spirit appears as she’s being interviewed and ends up embarrassing the host of the show by revealing a juicy secret. The host goes ballistic and the clip of his attack goes viral, which catapults Natalie into the limelight and lands her a reality series as a paranormal investigator.

With her financial future secure, it looks like Natalie’s life is finally going to run smoothly for a change. Then she meets Ryan Emery, a gorgeous, sweet, funny guy who is working on her new series. Natalie could really fall for him except for the fact that Ryan is a major skeptic. He doesn’t believe in ghosts and never will. This presents a problem when a persistent spirit wants Natalie to give Ryan a message—one that will dramatically change his life. Now Natalie must somehow get Ryan to believe. Can she do it without ruining a potentially great relationship?

As Natalie carefully navigates her precarious situation, she suffers a loss which makes her question her own beliefs. With both of their lives turned upside down, Natalie and Ryan lean on each other and soon learn that what they truly need cannot always be explained with logic and reason.

I normally don't read this genre of book, being mostly into action and thrillers, but a friend recommended and I was intrigued by the paranormal aspect. Well, I really enjoyed this book. Caitlin McKenna has a real gift for creating well thought-out characters, who become your friends thru the journey of the story. Spoiler Alert: I loved how complete a sense I got of the personalities and activities of creating an intriguing reality TV series, Added to that, some beautiful family relationships, a very fun romance and inspiring life-lessons this wonderful book covered so many bases that I was completely satisfied. The Paranormal aspect of the book was the icing on the cake, mixing incredibly frightening moments with those of a enlighteningly spiritual creations.
I would definitely recommend this book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful read! 23 October 2013

What do you get when you combine the average girl next door, crazy reality shows, a super hunky guy, a psychic grandmother and ghosts? You get "Super Natalie", a delightful book by Caitlin McKenna. Unlike the laugh out loud humor of her previous chick lit books ("My Big Fake Irish Life" and "Manifesting Mr. Right"), McKenna doesn't shy away from sadness or downright terror alongside the humor. I really enjoyed reading "Super Natalie" and I'm glad it came out in time for Halloween!

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Read! 16 October 2013

Caitlin McKenna keeps the reader's attention with this book. There's a great mix of suspense, romance, comedy, life lessons, difficult decisions, and relationships that develop a deeper understanding of the characters involved. How can it get any better than that! All that for a great price from an author that pays attention to the details. Every book by Caitlin has shown a different facet to her abilities; this one continues to delight. I see a series, like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, coming from Super Natalie. Am I psychic, or what!?!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Engaging read with great dialogue! 19 November 2013

A lady who read my book wrote to tell me about Super Natalie. She thought it was about me! So I read it and I found it to be very cute, and extremely accurate about the life of a medium. What the author has expressed is very true, and the details she has incorporated are well researched. Caitlin McKenna is a good writer who kept me engaged with her witty dialogue, and the ups and downs of Natalie Dalton's life. It was a fun, light read with a romance that was also engaging. I really enjoyed it, and I recommend it! I look forward to future books by Caitlin McKenna.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, well written and researched novel 17 January 2015

Another charming story from Ms. McKenna. After watching The Long Island Medium on TV, I'm definitely a believer in an afterlife and see no reason not to believe some of us are in contact. The story itself is well written, held my interest and I am currently reading "Logging Off", story by Ms. McKenna set in the future and very different from her former novels. I recommend this author.
