Product Description

(Suncoast Society series book 48)

[Siren Sensations: Erotic Consensual BDSM Romance, M/F, sex toys, spanking, FemDom, HEA]

Is Lara's life complicated? Not really. On the evening of her divorce, she dumps her jerk fiance while at dinner with him, her now ex-husband Everett, and Everett's boyfriend, Wylie. That's where she meets their hunky neighbor Brad, and his teenage son, Mark.

That's not complicated at allll.

Dr. Brad Jarred is well aware some people assume he's little more than a Florida Cracker cowboy, but he's actually an accomplished chemist running his family's ranch, all while being a single father. He loves Lara's spirit...and her strong will. She's exactly the kind of take-charge woman he's longed to meet and love. One thing's for certain--at least Everett and Wylie are rooting for a relationship to flourish between the couple.

Now that Lara has the kind of guy she's always wanted, can she be the woman Brad needs? More importantly, will Mark accept her in their lives? And why won't her whackadoodle ex fiance leave her alone?

Note: This book is a direct sequel to Splendid Isolation (Suncoast Society 45) and contains a heroine who is a Domme.

Ms. Dalton has become one of my favorite authors. Her characters are well-written and never one dimensional. Brad' explanation of his feelings about their relationship was so honest. Mark by far was my favorite part of the book. I love kick ass kids.

5.0 out of 5 stars Book #48 in the Suncoast Society series. Tymber Dalton hits another home run! FANTASTIC BOOK! EXPLICIT BDSM SEX! 9 May 2017
By Pam. Stanton - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
If you've read any of my other reviews of Tymber Dalton's books, you're well aware that she's my favorite author, an automatic buy with each new release. Fire in the Hole is the 48th book in the Suncoast Society BDSM series. If you haven't read the previous books, no problem! Each book in the series is a standalone novel, although you'll understand the characters' backstories better if you read them in order. There's a complete listing of the series, in order, at the beginning of each Suncoast Society book.

Lara Cannon's life seems perfect. Although she's divorcing her husband, Everett, it's very amicable. In fact, Ev is still her best friend. Sure, he's gay. That's pretty much why they're divorcing. But she adores Ev and his boyfriend, Wylie. She has a good job as a realtor and a handsome, rich fiancé, Steve Ewing. Everything seems to be proverbially "coming up roses." That is, until the final divorce hearing. Lara asks Steve to stay away. It's a simple hearing. They'll sign the papers. The divorce will be final. But Steve insists on coming with her. That's the first mistake of the day. Steve's put downs, condescending attitude, and constant criticism of Lara suddenly jumps out at her like never before. Yes, when she thinks about it, it's always been there from the beginning. She'd just overlooked it. When Ev and Wylie invite Lara for dinner, Lara accepts, with Steve insisting on accompanying them, and off they go. That's the second mistake of the day. After a chance meeting at the restaurant, Ev and Wylie's neighbors, Brad and his son, Mark, join them.

Brad Jarred appears to be a typical Florida Cracker cowboy. Dressed in faded jeans, a short-sleeved button-up work shirt, work boots, and a baseball cap, he's very polite and answers all Steve's ill-mannered questions. And he's as handsome as he is polite. But he's far from what he appears to be. Lara feels an immediate attraction to him. Her irritation at Steve continues to grow, and when Steve finally starts in on Ev and Wylie being gay, Lara explodes. It's bad enough he's insulted everyone else. But Steve's homophobia is the last straw. As Steve grabs Lara and orders her to leave with him, she pulls off her engagement ring, lays it on the table, and makes it very clear the engagement is off.

Brad feels the same attraction that Lara feels, and they quickly become an item. But there's a problem. Lara's supposed to move in with Steve that weekend, and her apartment is already rented. Worse, there're no other apartments available. Brad comes to the rescue, offering to let Lara stay with him and Mark until she can make other arrangements. But how will Mark feel about Lara moving in with them? Neither he nor his dad know her at all. And Mark has a secret that he has no idea how to tell anyone. Who can he tell, when, and how? While Lara's grateful for Brad's offer, there's no guarantee that this arrangement will work. And Lara's definitely not heard the last from Steve. To top things off, Brad and Lara learn about Ev and Wylie's BDSM lifestyle. Will this affect Lara's friendship with her ex and his lover? While Lara is intrigued, that hardly means that Brad will be interested in taking any relationship they might have to that level. With each person's individual questions, dilemmas, and uncertainty, what does the future hold for Lara and her new life?

Ms. Dalton has done it yet again. She's created a story filled with fun, drama, laughter, tears, joy, and suspense. She's intertwined each person's individual story to fit together so skillfully that it seems effortless. Fire in the Hole is a story full of genuine, real people. The emotions I felt for each character were deep and heartfelt. I alternately laughed out loud and cried until tears blurred my vision. That's just how well-created the characters in all Ms. Dalton's books are. The fact that Ms. Dalton has been an active participant in the BDSM lifestyle for many years only adds to the authenticity of the details of that lifestyle as portrayed in her novels. Ms. Dalton's books ALWAYS have the ability to pull me in from the very beginning. Her skill as an author is exceptional. It's no surprise to anyone who's either read my reviews of Ms. Dalton's books that I am extremely impressed with the entire Suncoast Society series. Fire in the Hole is another wonderful addition to the series.

One final comment. This is an ADULT book. It contains BDSM themes, explicit language, and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy erotic romance and explicit sex with BDSM scenes, THINK CAREFULLY before buying a book you know you won't enjoy. There's always a synopsis and reviews at various booksellers' websites and reviews on Goodreads and several Facebook book review pages as well. PLEASE use these resources so you're sure the book you buy is one you want. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK AS IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product, and if you know before you buy a book you'll object to the subject matter, you're doing both yourself and the author an extreme disservice. But if you enjoy hot, erotic BDSM romances, I highly recommend Fire in the Hole. You'll love it!

As always, thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Domme 6 May 2017
By Angela - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This was book 48 in the " Suncoast Society" series. Lara who is Everett's ex wife dumped her fiancée Steve on the day of her divorce from Everett because first she didn't love him and two because he was being rude to Everett and Wylie Steve was homophobic so she dumped him. Lara now has a problem she has given notice on her apartment because she was moving in with Steve so now she has 3 days to find a new place. Brad and his son Mark who live across the street from the guys join them for dinner and Brad drives Lara home and the two begin to talk and realize that they like each other. Brad offers to rent Lara a room he also tells her that he is submissive in the bedroom and wants to get to know her. This was a really good book Lara knows that she has a dominate personality and she doesn't like to be told what to do. Lara and Brad hit off and they agree to take it slow. I really liked how the guys helped Brad's son Mark when he told his father he was gay although he kind of thought so and he was their for Mark and his boyfriend Jacob. Mark was also very brave when he caught Wylie's ex Ralph when he broke into the guys house he lassoed him. When Lara's ex Steve continues to harass her they guys try to get her to learn to shoot she gets a baton and when Steve tries to attack her she beats him up with it and Mark pulls a shot gun on him. Lara becomes a Domme with the help of Tilly. The sex scenes in this book were good. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorites! 4 May 2017

I love a well written story a Domme and this book has one. Tymber knows her stuff and that's why I love her books. Lara has an ex-fiancé who is stalking her for some reason and an ex-husband who is gay and has a boyfriend. The story is complex and kept me engaged the whole time. When Brad comes along, it gets very interesting. For me to read about a male submissive, it has to be believable and this is very believable. I couldn't put this book down and I highly recommend it!
