This ended up being a good book. The descriptions of the tundra, the flora and fauna, and the research camp were so vivid, I could see them in my mind.
The past story, of the embezzlement by one brother, and the other brother going to prison, was so heart wrenching. That the embezzler also raped the h was even worse. That brother had no heart, morals, or conscience and it was horrible. The other brother, the H, was an amazing man who was wrongfully imprisoned. At the end of the book, he has investigated the embezzlement and now has the true story. I don't get why he wouldn't have cleared his name and send the true embezzler to prison, but apparently just saving the tundra was good enough for him if it made the h happy.
Otherwise this was a really good book and worth a re-read.
