Great potty for my almost three year old toddler and he especially loves the flushing sound after he goes. It’s a good size for him (he’s a little small for his age) and convenient to use but for a bigger toddler, it might not be as suitable as the potty hole is not that big. It has a splash guard which seems to come off easily but he somehow learnt to carefully sit on it without knocking it off. The wipes compartment is small and really not useful for storing wipes. However the cistern part can be used for storage. The only thing that got me puzzled was that somehow under the removable waste container, there were drip stains on the bottom of the toilet where there shouldn’t be. I later realised it’s from a bit of liquid collected in the splashguard clip which drips down when the waste container is not in place. I remedied this by just placing a paper towel under to collect any drips. Overall, a great potty and recommend it!

Search for reviews on YouTube. My daughter had a sudden fear of the big potty. (probably the thought of falling in.) This will get her back on track of her potty training journey. The compartment on top doesn’t fit any wipes I could find, but you can lift that and store them in the “water” tank section. We also store the 4 gal garbage bags that we will use for easy clean-ups.

Diseño para vaciado no práctico
Reviewed in Mexico on 11 June 2019Verified Purchase

👍🏻this gets a thumbs up lol

I bought two of these for my boy/girl 15 mo old twins. Not to necessarily potty train but my son really showed an interest in our toilet. Talked up a storm & pointed to it trying to take his pants off while we were using toilet so I just had to get the one that looks like ours. They actually have both peed on it in the few days we've owned them and everytime we go into bathroom to brush bath ect. they want to use these. They are almost perfect size but they are preemies so a little petite 15mo olds. Maybe will fit better in few mos. these toilets are great definitely worth the money. I attached a photo.

Bonito pero algo inutil
Reviewed in Mexico on 5 October 2018Verified Purchase

This summer toilet helped me potty train my autistic son
Reviewed in the United States on 31 July 2017Verified Purchase
At one point I felt hopeless and was convinced my short 5yr old son (40 inches tall) would never be potty trained. But this realistic looking potty and sticker charts to earn new Lego minifigure rewards finally got his attention and did the trick! When he began using it he liked that it looked just like a normal toilet and made him feel more like a big kid. Less than 1yr after purchasing this he's transitioned over to using a normal toilet and even poops/wipes on his own. Buying us a much quieter Kohler toilet also helped. I hadn't realized the noise our old toilet made while flushing upset him so much. Btw a great potty book to purchase is "The saddest toilet in the world" by Sam Apple. The book made us laugh and helped my son relax while sitting on his potty.
I eased him into wearing underwear at first we'd just put them on over his pull-up for preschool. Then when he began keeping that dry we switched to underwear alone during day yet still allowed him to wear pull-ups for going to bed or pooping. Once he stayed dry thru the night I had him switch to wearing underwear full time.
Explaining how to push out gas is what finally got him to poop in the toilet and then we no longer needed to use his summer potty chair. I found him a toilet seat insert with handles to hold if he got scared and also put a short stool under his feet so they're not dangling off our toilet. Most of his pants still have an elastic waist since zippers, laces buttons and snaps are like his kryptonite.
Getting him special Lego and Star Wars underwear was a great motivator to not poop in them anymore. He had the most accidents while wearing plain boring white underwear. The key for him was wearing something fun that he actually cared about. We'd have funny convos about his underwear. I'd say things like "you better not poop on Darth Vader today or he'll get pretty mad😏 "Don't worry mom I have the force on my side."
Potty training him was one heck of a long journey (for both of us) but don't ever give up! The normal Potty training suggestions didn't really work for him. For years the harder I tried the more he fought it. I still can't believe he's finally potty trained (it's only been 3 months) I'm hoping he'll continue doing well in kindergarten this September. Best of luck to all parents currently potty training their children. I hope the summer potty works for them as well.
The only negative things I have to say about the summer potty is the seat doesn't detach from this potty to be used as a toilet seat insert and the splash guard sometimes fell off while he was peeing. The back of potty was great for holding small books or 1 package of flushable wipes. He rarely pretend flushed it although it made realistic toilet noises.
I do apologize for the length of this review but wanted to share what worked for potty training my lovable, smart, stubborn autistic son.
