‘Oh my gosh I LOVED IT! This was honestly one of the best books I've read in a long while’ Georgina, Goodreads
One summer in Greece will change everything…
Anna’s running away. From a failed relationship, a dead-end career and a complicated family life.
On the island of Santorini, with its picturesque villas, blue-tiled roofs, and the turquoise waters of the Aegean lapping at the white sand beaches, Anna inherits a less-than-picturesque summer house from her estranged father.
As she rebuilds the house, she rebuilds her life, uncovering family secrets along the way that will change everything. She soon starts to fall for her little slice of paradise, as well as for gorgeous, charming Nikos.
Will Anna lose her heart in more ways than one?
Brimming with secrets and sunlight, this is the perfect holiday read for fans of Alex Brown, Jill Mansell and Sue Moorcroft.

Thank god that wasn't the case here because The Summer House in Santorini is everything I want from a romance novel. The writing flows easily from chapter to chapter, narrating Anna's journey smoothly and easily, like you're being told it by a friend. Sam's descriptions of Santorini have you feeling like you're right there on the cobbled streets, looking out at the sea.
The plot is compelling enough to keep you on your toes, it's a sweet, fresh start kind of novel that leaves you itching to make a change (and book a holiday to Santorini!). I found myself rooting for Anna (despite not LOVING her from the get go), and praying for that happy ending.
It's an easy, pick me up, poolside read, perfect for binging on a sunny weekend preferably with a cocktail in hand. I can't wait to see what's next from Sam!

The description of Santorini made me feel like i was there. Anna's father left when she was young, she was told by her mother that he had cheated on her and walked out on his family. When Anna and her sister Lizzie are told that their father has died and the have been left his Summer house they are informed that it has to be accepted in person. Anna after losing her job decides that this is the break she needs from her life and goes to Santorini to do the house up and sell it as she wants nothing to do with her fathers property.
But she finds more than she ever thought possible, but is she falling into the same oath as her parents. I thoroughly enjoyed this book,it was a little holiday from reality and a beautiful story.

It wasn't just a 'boy meets girl, falls in love & lives happily ever after' but dealt with the estrangement Anna had from her father & the realisation, after his death,
that things were not as her mother had led her to believe.
The refurbishment of the home left to her on Santorini by her father & the growing relationship with her grandparents & subsequent friends, all added to build a terrific story.
The only complaint I had was that Anna should have torn into her mother for all the lies she had been told which kept her from a father who loved her.
