Product Description

Enter a world of sweltering Aussie summers, fabulously addictive
characters and sweet intoxicating romance in

After first shift disasters, rude wealthy tourists, and a taunting ex boyfriend, Tess is convinced nothing good can come from working her summer away. However, Tess finds unlikely allies in a group of locals dubbed ‘The Onslow Boys’, who are old enough to drive cars, drink beer, and not worry about curfews. Tess’s summer of working expands her world with a series of first times with new friends, forbidden love, and heartbreaking chaos.
All with the one boy she has never been able to forget.
It will be a summer she will always remember.

With the new threat of putting the Onslow up for sale, Amy reluctantly turns to a local tradesman for help: Sean Murphy, the very same Onslow boy who saved her life all those years ago. With his help and that of some old friends, the task is clear: spend the summer building the hotel back up to its former glory or lose it for good.

In an endless summer, Amy soon realises that sometimes in order to save your future, you have to face your past, even if it’s in the form of a smug, gorgeous Onslow boy.

Now the countdown begins to reach the others at Point Shank before the party is over and the new year has begun. Alone in a car with only the infuriating Chris Henderson, Tammy can’t help but feel this is a disastrous start to what could have been a great adventure. But when the awkward road trip takes an unexpected turn, Tammy soon discovers that the way her traitorous heart feels about Chris is the biggest disaster of all.

Fogged up windows, moonlight swimming, bad karaoke and unearthed secrets; after this one summer nothing will ever be the same again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tess and Toby, Amy and Sean, Tammy and Chris 24 November 2015

I just finished with third book about Tammy and Chris. Tammy was at the Onslow trying to hide in the dark. She went into a room and closed the door. It was pitch black. She ran into what seemed like a bed but before she could make any noise, a hand covered her mouth. The hiding game was how their game started. This book was Tammy's POV.

Amy and Sean - Amy hadn't been home to Onslow for three years. After Sean saved her from drowning, her parents whisked her away to boarding school. Upon arriving at the Onslow she was shocked to find it in disarray. It was falling apart. She went out on the balcony of her dad's apartment only to have it give way. She was able to cling to doorway with her fingers and hope for help. Sean was there. She fell into his arms. He would become her constant rock. This book was Amy's POV.

Tess and Toby - I read this book a bit ago buy dis do a write up. Please refer to that for my comments. This book in dual POV.

I liked the dual POV better. I liked getting to know Toby's character better.

I highlighted most of the "pfft"s I could find. No idea why, I just did. The epilogues aren't really epilogues in some cases. It's a few hours later. I'm not sure why it's even called an epilogue. It's kind of insulting really.

I did wish to hear more about Australian bands like The Church and Shriekback. At least there was mention of AC/DC. It was weird when she brought up Nirvana. I'm a music nerd. Nirvana was mainstream to some extent in the US. They got tons of air play. Everyone listened to them, not just bad boys. It's interesting how things were different for each country. I still remember what I was doing on that fateful day in 1994 when Kirt died. I cried. I was pretty shaken up.

Using cell phones all the time in the 90s was VERY expensive in the states. Sending text messages was like a buck every time you sent one. That's how it was in the states at least. The folks in these books use their cell phones quite a bit. It's unrealistic for the 90s. I didn't know anyone that had texting capabilities back then. It was too expensive. There wasn't data plans. You were charged by the minute.
