Product Description

Being a substitute teacher is good for me.
It's sensible.
Abandoning my plans for a career in the film industry and a life full of fun, albeit slightly reckless, actions was the responsible thing to do.
That's who I am now.
That's who I've become.
Mr. Boring. Mr. Predictable. Mr. Anal Retentive.
At least that's what I thought until one irresistible student breathes life back into the version of me I've been desperately trying to suffocate.
Being with Ainsley isn't a want. It's a need.
And I'm willing do anything to fulfill it.

I've spent my entire life ashamed of who I am.
Who my mother is. What she does.
Being forced to attend a private school where people endlessly whisper about it is only bearable because I know exactly what's in my future.
I know exactly where I'm going.
I know exactly what to do to get there.
Or at least I thought I did.
One class with him and suddenly my entire world was missing one very important piece.
Being with Nate isn't just about sex.
It's about loving life in a way I never imagined.
The situation isn't ideal, but I'll do whatever it takes to be with him.

Um, I never had a hot teacher… I feel cheated! Why couldn’t I have had a Nate!

This book had me hooked from the start. Just read the first chapter and you’ll know why! The chemistry Nate and Ainsley had was scorching! I had to fan myself a few times, but there’s so much more to the story than just the amazing hot scenes. Even though there’s such an age difference between the two main characters, the connection they shared was beautiful. I did struggle a little at the start with the age difference but I soon got over that. Ainsley seemed so much older than eighteen.

Xavier Neal’s books always draw me in. I loved the storyline as forbidden romances always hooks me. There was so much to love about this book; the writing, the characters, the knowing you shouldn’t but you just have to.

I’m in love with Nate and I really wanted to junk punch him several times in the book. He was so….childish while Ainsley was the strong, mature one but I still loved him. He did make up for it after all.

This is a quick, fun read that I highly recommend and I’m really looking forward to the next book in The Bro Series.

My first book from Xavier Neal, won't be my last! While It made you fell sorry, then hopeful for the characters! Both had their pasts to deal with, but together they overcame a lot of issues! There were bumps in the road for sure! Over all it was a Great story!

It was ok, there really was no drama , or angst in the story, . Just didn't like it at all. The whole bros thing on their vacation was not my cup of tea

So. I'm not usually into the whole student/teacher thing. But this book was amazing. The relationship between Nate and Ainsley was just beautiful, at times heartbreaking and just real. They both offered so much to each other and their relationship. Loved it. Definite A+.

3.0 out of 5 stars I needed more insight. 23 May 2017

The Substitute was good, but I couldn't help but feel like I was missing something. The beginning of the book just kind of drops you right in the beginning stages of Nate and Ainsley's relationship. I would have really liked it to have started a bit earlier, before anything happened between them, so I could see how it all started, and maybe gotten a little background on the nature of their attraction.
