Product Description

...and we’re back! After a planned three-month hiatus that accidentally stretched out into six, STUPEFYING STORIES returns—retooled, reworked, and better than ever. With more and bigger stories by more outstanding authors, STUPEFYING STORIES MK.II is tanned, rested, ready, and chock-full of great stories and novelettes, including: "All the Beautiful Lights of Heaven" by Russ Colson, "Showing Faeries for Fun and Profit" by Julie Frost, "Indigene" by Lawrence Buentello, "Cottage Industry" by Evan Dicken, "The Robot Agenda" by Samantha Boyette, "The Wrong Dog" by Kyle Aisteach, "The Music Teacher" by Mark Niemann-Ross, "The Last Unit" by Judith Field, and of course our cover story, the unabashedly old-school alien world sci-fi pulp adventure, "For the Love of a Grenitschee," by Mark Wolf.

STUPEFYING STORIES: it's the monthly SF/F reading you've been looking for!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Stories 11 July 2013

It's hard to find a good SF magazine these days. I thought these stories were very readable and entertaining, and at least one was laugh-out-loud funny. If you remember an old magazine called Aboriginal, this is a lot like that, but without the artwork.

I've enjoyed the assortment of excellent stories in the Stupefying series, including the latest. I relish the anticipation on starting a new story, wondering what mix it will provide of amusement, thought provocation, edification, or the pleasures of high quality disgust.

This is great stuff. A great mix of digestible short stories made out of dense subject material. Well worth your time and dollars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Old-time is best 14 October 2013

You can't beat SS for old-time SF and Fantasy. All the stories here are clever, lean and story-driven. Don't come here if you're looking for angsty anti heroes pondering mysteries of the universe.
