Product description

Review

If your course includes personal development modules then this could be the recommended text you have been searching for. If your course doesnt have personal development modules then this is the recommended text you will want your students to access. It has chapters which are of use for all stages of the undergraduate programme and aims to prepare the student for life beyond their studies as well. This book should be mandatory reading for students in any scientific discipline. (HEA Physical Sciences Centre Reviews, July 2011)

This book is a practical manual for students entering university and college, to help them to cope with the demands of a new learning environment. This could be a valuable resource for all students and its utility would last the whole of a degree course, making this a good buy. Alex Johnstone, Education in Chemistry, May 2011, Vol 48, No. 3

This is a uniquely positioned text that has the potential to enhance significantly the teaching of chemistry in universities. (Dr Colin R. Pulham, The University of Edinburgh)

As a first time student I now consider this book my bible...This guide has everything you need to know to become a successful student. It's a definite 11 out of 10! (Jade Carey, student, Trinity College Dublin)
