I’m going to ruin Sienna Roberts.

Ruthless? Maybe. But it’s what’s put me on top. And it’s what’s going to help me get revenge on the woman who put my family through hell.

My plan has been in play for months. She has no idea I’m the mysterious benefactor commissioning her artwork, or that the downfall in store for her will be the end of her career.

OMG Lexxie Couper has done it again! This book had me hooked from the start and had twists which I didn't expect!
While reading the book, I fell in love with James (even though I wanted to hate him) and I was so invested that I didn't want the story to end.

I read it in one sitting, so sit down, relax and enjoy

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book/story if/when you give it a chance. 24 January 2017

Love Lexxie Couper's work!! I'm so very happy she is working on a new series!!

This book took me a bit to get into....James was such a 'f*wit' and Sienna was in a bad situation due to her father and what James had planned. Finally James learned that who he thought Sienna is/was was not who she really is.

Wonderful book/story if/when you give it a chance.

2.0 out of 5 stars Stupid Billionaire is likely a better title, folks .... 28 January 2017
By FromTheSouth - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
The Stubborn Billionaire, IMHO, should have been titled The Stupid Billionaire. Honestly, the whole premise of the book just didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. From the hero's idea of getting revenge for his deceased younger brother's unrequited love for the heroine by deciding to have sex with her, to her just coincidentally being a talented painter who just happens to master in erotic, smexy paintings that a not so secret/any idiot can figure out benefactor keeps commissioning...(the big question is why, folks) her always answering her door in a tank top and panties, which by the way is her favorite way to dress while painting. Throw in the cliche daddy dearest figure who the hero is a chip off the old block and seems to constantly be channeling/repeating in his head rules of emotional warfare on how to take down an enemy to the predictable, self-destroying outcome where he is inevitably forgiven way too easily. Then there is the crazy, erratic way his brother was acting should have been a clue he likely had some mental issues, likely because of the pressure put on him by his dysfunctional family. No, I guess it was easier just to point the finger and blame at someone else and go after them.

Here's to hoping it's just me, folks, and others enjoy it. I'm not so stubborn that I don't realize when I'm just not a good fit for a book. The plot and writing just wasn't agreeing with my idea of a well-written romantic read.

4.0 out of 5 stars a nice change from the the formula of ruthless billionaire taking on younger, naive heroine 25 January 2017

Format: Kindle Edition
The Stubborn Billionaire is a nice change from the the formula of ruthless billionaire taking on younger, naive heroine. It is a billionaire story, but James and Sienna are realistic characters, with a realistic, physical and emotional connection. James Dyson, the billionaire in question, has plans for vengeance. Vengeance upon Sienna Roberts for what he thinks is her part in his brother's suicide. So he sets out to ruin her by tricking her and seducing her first.

Sienna is an artist with a jailbird for a father and an insolent, angry 15 year old half brother whom she is now raising, thanks to their father landing himself in prison. She doesn't know it, but her patron, Xavier, who has commissioned the art that is keeping her and her brother clothed, fed, and with shelter over their heads, is none other than James Dyson himself. So she is merrily (or not so merrily, considering her financial and familial situations) creating away when James comes to her studio and lets her know that her latest commission is to paint him. While she's painting him, they get to know each other, and fall for each other along the way. Their chemistry is really hot, and I like how real and normal they are with each other when not out in public. He finds she isn't really the person he had thought, and that she hadn't caused his brother's suicide, and she finds he isn't really the ruthless, cold shark she had thought he was.

But what, or who, rather, I love most about the The Stubborn Billionaire is Zach, Sienna's younger brother. He's witty and once he's allowed to express his anger in a more productive way, he's very sweet. Not to mention, his musings about James, Sienna and their relationship are spot on and really funny. But, of course, something bad is bound to happen, and when Sienna finds out that James had planned on destroying her, she is understandably upset, and cuts James out of her life. But when James apologizes (grovels, actually), it is so swoon worthy and sweet that I couldn't help but fall in love with James just like Sienna did. Because, damn, his grand gesture of apology is perfect!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book that I received through NetGalley.

5.0 out of 5 stars Revenge or not... 23 January 2017
By SpaBaker - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Susan reviewed on behalf of Mytimeoutbookblog

I give The Stubborn Billionaire 5 stars for providing passion, angst, a little suspense and a great story with a little twist.

Lexxie Couper has written a very good story with lots of twists in it, very descriptive, great characters, and a few steamy scenes.

When Sienna reconnects with James, sparks fly immediately. Time Australia’s Businessman of the Year, and the last man Sienna ever wanted to see again, is at her front door. He is the embodiment of everything she despised—money, power, greed. Should she let him in?

Sienna Roberts is a twenty-six year old artist. Mason Xavier, her benefactor, commissions artworks and pays her when she finishes them. If it wasn’t for Xavier, she's not sure where her art career would be. James wants her to do his portrait but she has no idea he is Mason Xavier. Will she do it?

James Dyson, ruthless billionaire, and media mogul, hates her, wants revenge, and will stop at nothing to get back at her for what she did to his family. He was here for her to paint, not to engage in sexual banter and power plays. He has set his plan in motion. In this power struggle between them, who will give in first?

The Stubborn Billionaire is a contemporary romance novel that delivers a little romance, revenge, angst, joy, hardship, lust, and love.

I enjoyed this book and am sure you will also.
