This must be one of the saddest stories I've ever read.
Childhood sweethearts torn apart by misunderstandings and lack of maturity.
Kara was trying to be the perfect wife instead of herself and became miserable and depressed, Riley didn't know how to help Kara so took on more missions to keep him away from home.
When Kara lost their baby in an accident that left her scarred, she took off and divorced Riley.
Eight years later they meet when Riley is undercover.
What follows is a heart tugging emotional read that I loved, mainly due to the fact Riley put his hand up to the mistakes he had made with Kara.
Kara had matured but it had taken her a long time of therapy. She came across as hard and at first I wasn't sure I liked her but once her defences fell she was lovely.

I was really pleased this book didn't have any major push & pull, just 2 soul mates that had made mistakes in their marriage & were lucky enough to finally get given a second chance.
Beautifully written by Jesse, who has fast become one of my fav top authors.
I would suggest you read these in series, although you don't need to, seeing the charters & their dynamics from the start does help you understand them more.
