I used this in addition to Barbri materials when preparing for the New York Bar last year. This is an excellent supplement and contains a large number of practice questions and importantly, very helpful and detailed explanations for the answers to the questions which is key to mastering the MBE part of the exam. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this book as a supplement for your Bar review study, especially if you are new to the multiple choice format of testing and new to US law in general so great for Brits and any other foreign takers of the exam. The only drawback is that the book is quite expensive but if you’re a law student you will not be unfamiliar with the expense that comes with law books!

I took (and passed) the July 2016 NY bar exam and was also enrolled in a Barbri prep course. After struggling with Barbri's MBE questions, a friend recommended this book. I could not have been more impressed. The questions/explanations in the book were super helpful and detailed. The book does such a great job of explaining the law. It also does a great job in explaining why the right answer is correct and why the others are not. I did every single question in this book and read each explanation. My MBE score improved greatly. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to raise their MBE scores.

My Barbri prep class just wasn't sinking in as quickly and efficiently as I wanted. I decided to supplement with this book about a month or less out from the bar and boy am I glad I did. I knew the Barbri practice questions were tougher and more nuanced than the actual bar but I was getting poor scores and feeling down in the dumps. Using the practice questions in this book made me feel confident that I knew more than I thought and exposed me to actual bar questions. Doing 20 question sets after reviewing the subject assigned by Barbri that day really helped me prepare. I ended up passing the UBE for my state and feel like this book helped me get there!
