A captivating readReviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 November 2018
Some of the characters live in already familiar places, some characters are in unfamiliar places but are familiar to the Essex Witch Museum Mystery readers already, some characters are completely new. Each story is captivating and just enough. Beautifully crafted short stories, that hold your breath until the very end.

Another great publication from SydReviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 November 2018
Syd's other books are a must read which I've thoroughly enjoyed so what a treat to have a collection of short stories for halloween. The collection features half a dozen stories each of which is very different to each of the others but each equally gripping. As a collection of short stories it only takes a couple of evenings to complete but it's well worth the time investment.
A mixed bag...Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 December 2018
but overall a tasty wee treat. I love the Essex Witch mysteries so bought this for a quick fix. I've given it four stars as some of the stories weren't quite as strong as the others but all-in-all a good read.
Something to what the appititeReviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 November 2018
Another collection of classic tales from the formidable Syd Moore, something to chill the bones as the cold winter nights draw in.

Very disappointingReviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 November 2018
I expected this book to be a continuation of the characters in the previous books which I really enjoyed. This book was just a few short stories which didnt float my boat
