He’s been content to let his best friend take the spotlight, now it’s his turn to make a name for himself in the world of heavy weight champions. Falling in love is the one thing he vowed never to do, but meeting Marie changed everything.
It’s easy to imagine a happy ever after when the sun is shining. But when the storm comes, and all hope seems lost, they both learn that if you want something badly enough, you have to be willing to fight for it.
The Storm is a stand alone companion novel to The Hurricane and The Storm. Heavy language and sexual content means that this book is intended for persons aged 18+.

I loved being back in the Driscoll World with all the lovable Irish lads, the humorous banter, Irish charm and gosh Danny and his "feckin' shenanigans" is someone I wish I had in my life, absolutely love him!!
Marie was such a sweetheart and loved that she was a successful business women in spite of her medical condition. Her brothers made for interesting characters also.
Now Kieran, so swoon worthy, he had big shoes to follow after Con and wow did he fill them!!! He was so much more then I was expecting him to be, fierce, passionate and so protective of all those he loves.
So great to see the connection he has with all the lads, especially Con and Tommy, such loyalty and devotion to each other, it was so heart warming.
I loved the connection between Marie and Kieran, it was so believable and they had it right from the start! A few little surprise that I wont spoil for you!!
So much goodness in one book I could rave and rave about but instead I will say read it, you wont be disappointed!!! Over all a fantastic read that I didn't want to put down!
Can't wait for the next book, bring on Tommy!!!!!
I always love stories about tough alphas who are brought to their knees by a beautiful intelligent and strong woman, and just like it happened to Con, it certainly happened to Kieran too
This book was filled with love, laughter, drama, family, suspense and buckets of sexyness.
I highly recommend these books to readers who enjoy romance within a boxing world.
As in her previous two books, RJ includes a lot of personal musings and sentiments on life and love, giving voice to these thoughts via her characters. While Kieran and Marie are definitely the stars, the secondary characters are gems and I'm glad we learned more about Liam this time. I was also very interested in Marie's brothers and possible future books?! Although all the characters are everyday people, RJ brings them alive and they impact on you. Big personality, Tommy will get the next book, apparently and I was happy to catch-up with Em and Con again. However, I'm glad the series has moved forward to showcase other wonderful characters and their sweet, heartbreaking and engaging journeys.
PS The book needed some editing.

R.J. Prescott always manages to write a book filled with emotion. Whether she has me laughing with the banter and ribbing that seems to flow naturally when the guys are together, or has the knots in my stomach appearing when things get rather tense, I am already aware that I am fastening myself into a seat which will take me on an emotional roller coaster ride when I open one of her books, and it's a ride that I'd queue for all day just to experience it again and again and again. I knew that when I had to reach for the tissues before I'd even finished reading the prologue that this story was going to pull at my heart strings too.
I adore Kieran. He's an amazing person and the best friend that you could ever hope to have. Marie is one of Em's friends and has been admired by Kier since the moment he stepped into her shop. They both have reasons which make them both consciously avoid relationships, and even though there was this huge attraction to each other, I could totally understand why they didn't want to act on their feelings. I believe that The Storm can be read as a standalone, however I do feel that my enjoyment of this book was enhanced because I'd already met and got to know all the characters in The Hurricane and The Aftermath. It has been wonderful reading Kier and Marie's story and learning more about this amazing couple. I admire immensely their strength, determination and personalities, which is why I was rooting for them from the very beginning to find happiness with each other.
I love the friendship between all the characters. The aren't just friends but are family, and they have each others backs no matter what. If it is at all possible, this series just gets better and better and now I cannot wait for Tommy's story..... I just know that it's going to be incredible!
This was a slow build/burn romance that just worked, simply because the reason was justified and not just thrown in to for drama and angst.
As with previous books in the series we got plenty of time with the rest of the gang, and once again Tommy was the star of the show. That man couldn't even begin to understand what a filter was, never mind how to use it. Love that about him, love it! I really can't wait to get his book. Marie's brothers would make for some juicy reading too - more hot, possessive alpha males to drool over .... yes please! I think this is where the author excels, the family she has built within this series for these boys that had so much stacked against them is truly fabulous to read. I got so involved with them all, and love that she continues to build on their stories as well as the main characters. From Father Pat to Danny to all the boys - just brilliant.
I'm also hoping we get to know more about Liam's story (hint hint Ms Prescott).
Although I really did love this one, I noticed a fair few silly editing issues that really shouldn't have been there, but the book was just that good I'm leaving my rating at 5 stars.
Overall it wasn’t terrible but it did not give me the same rush as the Hurricane did.
However I did find the story a little disjointed especially during the second half of the book and the whole stalker aspect just didn't really work for me. There were also a few inconsistencies in the story. But those were minor and didn't stop my overall enjoyment of the story and therefore I would happily recommend The Storm to others. Especially if you have read and enjoyed The Hurricane and The Aftermath.
Sorry I was expecting a lot more from R.J.Prescott it falls far short of her first book THE HURRICANE which was brilliant. I gave The Hurricane five stars and it would have given it a ten stars if it was possible so please before buying STORM if you have not already read The Hurricane do so
you will not be disappointed.
