Product Description

Rie Warren delivers a steamy, humorous romance with one hell of an alpha male bad boy.

Hell on wheels meets hell in high heels.

Bad boy mechanic Josh Stone likes to get his hands dirty any way he can—the filthier, the better. Ever since his wife walked out on him and their young son, he’s only had room in his heart for two loves: the kid and cars.

Roped into playing his best buddy’s gay boyfriend during a romance writers convention, the player meets the girl who’s gonna rock his world. Leelee Songchild. Shy, bashful, beautiful Leelee who blushes at the drop of a hat yet writes hardcore smut to rival Josh’s backlist of Penthouse Forum.

The only problem is his hands are tied. Josh can’t stab his old friend/fake lover in the back even though all he wants to do is take luscious Leelee to bed, and maybe, love her. When the truth comes out, all hell breaks loose.

Too bad romance is just for books.

No way in hell was I ever letting anyone in enough to walk out on me or break the kid's heart again. No way was I going to risk the small slice of a comfortable life I'd carved for us through sheer hard work and long, long hours. But that didn't mean I didn't take care of business.

Josh Stone gave up on the idea of love when his wife disappeared into the night leaving him and their son in the dust without a second thought. A year and a half later and the only involvement he has with women is his weekly one-night stands to take care of business; aside from that, his life revolves around his three year old son JJ, and his garage. He works hard to provide for his son and has no desire to bring another woman into his home just so she can ditch them too. But when he agrees to attend a writers convention with his best friend and best selling paranormal romance author, Nicky Love, two minutes in the presence of redheaded knockout Leelee Songchild knocks the air right outta him and has him thinking things he never expected. There's just one problem... he can't act on it because he is there to be Nicky's fake boyfriend for the week. Josh & Nicky have been best friends most of their lives and Nicky was there for Josh at a time when he needed him the most; he cannot let his best friend down now and risk his career but... he is desperately fighting to find the willpower necessary to stay away from Leelee when all he wants to do is rip her clothes off and keep her by any means possible. When the truth finally does come out, all hell breaks loose leaving a path of destruction in it's wake that they may never recover from.

Read first chapter bought the whole series!!

I really enjoyed this easy to follow completely filled story with everything, some great characters, hot sexy scenes and some laughs.

Josh is one hot alpha and he hits it off with Leelee immediately.

I enjoyed their interactions and loved seeing their relationship develop.

Leelee is a hoot and I loved her strength and her ability to put Josh on edge. She dealt with Josh's son beautifully.

I loved that this was from Josh's perspective told in his voice it was actually a really nice change.

All up a great read I couldn't put it down and I really look forward to continuing on with the series.

This is the first book I've read from this author and I liked it a lot. This book is told only from the male POV, I haven't read to many from only the male POV before and I was pleasantly surprised. I was worried he would come across a bit to feminine for my taste, especially given the plot, but the author did a great job with plenty of laugh out loud moments. What stopped it from being 5 stars for me was the excessive use of jargon talk, made it a bit difficult, though I'll defiantly be continuing the series.

This book just did not do it for me. Didn't enjoy the storyline with all the jargon talk and the characters weren't all that good either.

5.0 out of 5 stars I want to be serviced by Stone - contains minor spoilers 26 September 2014

I have to say that I am a HUGE fan of Rie! From the first excerpt I read of In His Command I was hooked. I've read all her releases, and they just get better and better. She never fails to amaze me.

As for Stone, At Your Service -- Oh My God! I loved, loved, loved this book! It's cute and cheeky with the gay charade at the romance convention. The characters are fantastic. Stone is a total hottie alpha and Leelee is adorable but headstrong. They had just the right amount of angst to make them real and they fit together so perfectly. Can you say HOT? These two sizzle right off the page!

Love JJ and how Stone calls him "the kid." He's such a sweet boy. Stone's conversations with him are hilarious and so heartwarming! And the cast of characters -- Nicky, Jamma, the shop guys, Nicky's writer group, the Hens, Jules -- all of them added such depth and humor to the story. Topped off with a slimeball villain.

Let's not forget about Ride - a book inside a book? ABSOLUTE GENIUS and holy hotness!!! Avery and Jase lit my panties on fire. And when life imitated art and Leelee walked in on Stone? Definitely THE hottest masturbation scene I've ever read!!!

I loved every single minute of this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must read!!! 14 July 2016
By Cris - Published on Amazon.com

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Rie Warren's books!! I happened upon this one and am so glad I did...it is a funny, sexy, fabulous read!! Josh does his best friend Nick a favor and poses as his significant other at a Romance Writer's Convention. Problem is, both of them are straight...just playing gay to keep Nick's crazy fangirls away from him...and Josh meets the love of his life in the first few days of the convention and has to keep his hands and everything else away from her. Leelee is a first time writer who is a member of the "Hens" and she falls for Josh just as hard as he does her. Josh and Leelee are a great couple and they would make this book a must read all by themselves, but add in the supporting cast of characters...and I do mean characters...and it's a blast!!

5.0 out of 5 stars True love 12 October 2016

Funny how things happen in life .... Josh Stone is helping his best friend out by playing his lover while at an author's convention... Reason being Nick Loveland is trying to keep all the women at bay. Funny thing is Josh never expected to meet the love of his life durning Nick's convention. Fellow author Leelee made one heck of an impression on Josh it was hard for him to keep the fasod up for his friend ... But I have to say I laughed so much durning this book it was great ...

5.0 out of 5 stars Five Hot & Humorous Stars 2 August 2015
By Bug - Published on Amazon.com

From the first few pages of this book, I knew it was going to be my kind of read. Ms. Warren has a knack for witty phrasing and hilarious dialogue—not to mention her smoking hot sex scenes. This was one hot and humorous read that kept me turning pages right up until the end. This book has all the makings of a sweet HEA with enough heat to keep you fanning yourself while you read. I loved it!

But, Ms. Warren didn’t just write one story with this book. In a very Shakespearean move, she included a story within the story, and the subplot helps her do something very interesting—she pokes fun at her own profession. I love that a large portion of the book takes place at a romance writers’ convention, and the side characters we meet there are just as interesting as the main characters.

Incidentally, I’m a sucker for solid and well developed characters. Ms. Warren definitely delivers in that category. The characterization in this book is realistic and believable, even the crazy writers we meet at the convention. In fact, several of them reminded me of people I know (especially Josh’s garage monkeys). I loved Josh and Leelee together as well.

All in all, this was a great read! It’s five stars from me!
