Product Description

Either she cures the Prince, or she is sold in marriage to a warrior she doesn’t love….

Brilliant scientist Surah, the half-human daughter of a royal concubine, endured the scorn of the gargoyle court growing up. She doesn’t care- the only warrior who matters is Malin, and she will cure his genetic disease if it kills her.

It very well may. Enemies at court threaten her life to stop her research- enemies who don’t want Prince Malin to reclaim his throne, or to see her as his mate and Princess. If she fails, he will lose his immortality and be trapped in human form forever… and die.

If she fails, her half-brother will sell her in marriage to the highest bidding warrior. But Malin will kill any warrior in court, winged or no, to prevent them from laying claim to his mate. Especially when she conceives his baby—the true Heir to the gargoyle throne.

This is a steamy paranormal shifter romance featuring hot, winged alpha males and a smart, strong heroine. With a futuristic flair, this is for readers who enjoy urban fantasy, dragon shifters (because hot men with wings are hot men with wings), surprise babies and stories with rich characters, meaningful relationships and plenty of action and adventure.

This story is a very different look at gargoyle society. I enjoyed the world building and the story did have a happy ending, which I enjoy. The story was hot and steamy, with betrayals and intrigue. The heroine is great - I love that she is a genetic researcher and that she is intelligent and really hot. I started the book just before bedtime and then had difficulty putting it down - it was 'just one more chapter' until I thought 'who needs sleep anyway' and kept reading until I had finished it.
I can recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormal romance, with some twists to the plot.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sexy gargoyles? 1 May 2017
By GMD - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is my first gargoyle book and I admit that I had a difficult time imagining how a gargoyle could be sexy. While gargoyles are not my favorite shifter, the author did a fabulous job making gargoyles attractive. The story was intriguing in that the eldest gargoyle, Prince Malin, retired due to an inherited genetic defect in the family line that eventually will make him go insane. Hence, Malin's half brother, Prince Geza, took over control of the throne. Geza's half sister, Princess Surah, is a geneticist trying to find a cure for Malin's disease. Geza is threatening to marry Surah to one of his best warriors. This prompts Malin to admit his feelings of love for Surah. The two grew up together in the royal palace, but are not actually related by blood. Geza feels threatened by Malin and Surah's relationship since Surah is Geza's heir. Geza is a impetuous ruler that often makes poor decisions for his people. There is a faction of gargoyles that would love to see the older and wiser Malin cured so that he can rule once again. There is yet another faction of gargoyles wanting a democracy.

This book had my interest from the beginning with a bit of everything from love to political drama. The characters were well-developed and the overall story was well-thought out. I did get a bit annoyed with Surah's lack of concern for her own welfare and that women were treated very poorly in gargoyle society, but I get that it is part of the story line. This book was a pleasant surprise and even had a few unexpected twists.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a GREAT story. Did I shout? Sorry. 25 April 2017

I soooo loved this book. I was very happy to see there was bonus material at the end. I hope Emma is going to continue the story since I want to know what happens to Surah, Malin, and their baby.

Surah is a hybrid. Half human and half gargoyle. She can't fly, bummer, but she is a princess. Malin is her sorta brother. He is not really a blood relative, but they grew up together. Their half brother, Geza, is the current leader. Malin is older, but he has a degenerative disease that means his gargoyle side is being destroyed. Surah is a doctor/researcher who is trying to find a cure for the hereditary disease. She is very close to having a solution.

This book is full of intrigue and back-stabbing. The throne is always up-for-grabs between Geza and Malin. If Malin were cured he could take it back, but does he really want it? Geza is a git that spends more time using women than ruling, and the council is not amused. Surah is in a strange position. She is Geza's heir, since he won't wed and have garlings. She has always loved Malin, but has concentrated on trying to find a cure for him instead of this love. She is always in danger of being married off against her will, and she knows she must do something before this happens.

I don't want to spoil the story for you. It is great, so enjoy.

Stone Lover: A Gargoyle Shifter Paranormal Romance
Warriors of Stone Book 1
by Emma Alisyn
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am totally bowled over by this story, it's intriguing and a fabulous read. What a steamy, scorching HOT paranormal shifter romance that have hot, winged alpha males and a witty, strong heroine. This is a amazing story that will make you turn the pages faster and faster until you read the end. The characters are exhilarating, sensational, fantastic and you'll fall in love with love! You will find within this a exciting, sweet, charming, and oh so scorching hot story! There is a lot of sparks, sexual chemistry, tension and the sex is explicit but fits the characters. The main characters are fantastic as they try and figure things out.The story features Surah who is a scientist and the daughter of a royal concubine but she is only half gargoyle. Malin is the prince who should be on the throne. But Surah half brother Geza is the current leader. Because Malin has a disease that means his gargoyle side is disappearing and only his human side will remain. Surah is trying to find a cure for the hereditary disease. The story is full of mystery and it offers drama, suspense, intrigue, action, threats and back-stabbing. The throne is in need of a leader and its between Geza and Malin. What a rich meaningful, plenty of action, adventure with relationships that's a romantic and awesome read that I highly recommend. WOW you'll want to read this book and then you need to buckle up! Its a thrill ride and its more than worth it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Passionate Love! 6 May 2017

I think gargoyles are very sexy in all that they are tough to the bone.

Princess Surah Loveneau is human/gargoyle not entirely accepted by either world, but a brilliant scientist with just one mission in mind, find a cure for the genetic decease that took him off the throne and is slowly taking the life of the love of her heart, her brother by marriage. When she finally discovers that he has also loved her in silence, she doubles her efforts to find a cure while dodging marriage proposals from other high ranking gargoyles, after all she holds more power than even she knows as sister to the reigning King.

Malin Loveneau was struck with the malady that runs in his royal family. Not being able to shift into his gargoyle, he had to relinquish his throne to his younger half brother and lives as a human. His love for his stepsister has always been there and now he must let her know and is happy to live in the human world if it means being with the woman that owns his heart. But factions want to take the throne and he must battle to keep his love safe. When Malin begins to feel the effects of the recent medication Surah has created, all bets are off.

So much passion in love and war. I want to read more of the Warriors of Stone, they are so passionate. I would love to read the story of Surah's human father and her gargoyle mother Adgara.
5.0 out of 5 stars Gargoyle Shifters! 26 April 2017

Fresh start to a new series: Gargoyle shifters. This is a very intriguing series. There is a royal family that consists of a Prince, Malin, forced to give up his crown because of a degenerative disease that will eventually make him permanently human. His half-brother , Geza, who is now the ruling Price and Geza half-sister Surah. Surah is a scientist looking for a cure for Malin, her secret forbidden love. Only Geza and Surah are related. There is much court intrigue as Geza is unpopular and seemingly a decadent ruler. Some factions of the court want Surah to find a cure so that Malin can resume the throne. Other factions want to have the brothers destroy each other so that they can assume control.
Surah is working hard looking for a cure. She loves both her brothers and will not want to see one succeed and the other be destroyed. Malin starts to court Surah. Geza has a fiancée he does not want. He tells Malin and Surah he will agree to the courting and marriage if Malin takes his fiancée as a sister wife. This is a very compelling and intriguing book. I enjoyed reading it and look forward to more!
