Product Description

A spin off of Stacey Nash's enthralling Oxley College Saga set in the rural country town of Bindarra Creek.

The one thing that keeps Oxley College’s Molly McLean calm amidst midterm exams and keg parties is knowing she’s got a quiet place to land in her hometown of Bindarra Creek. But even from college, Molly’s heard rumours about her small country hometown's big city makeover. She knows reviving tiny Bindarra Creek will draw in more tourists—so while home for the summer, she sets out to convince her conservative parents to spruce up their motel in order to cash in on the influx of new business that will surely come.

However, Molly never thought the town's makeover would have a negative impact on her little slice of home until she returns to the stables were she’s worked every summer since she was thirteen. Sexy city boy Callan Hunter is turning the tranquil property she loves into another churn-people-through tourist spot. Butting heads with the business-minded hottie is the last way Molly thought she’d be spending her holidays, but there’s no way she can stand around and allow the stables her grandad hand-built to be torn down. If she can’t convince Callan to ease up on the bulldozing, Bindarra Creek will no longer be a sanctuary. It’ll be a concrete jungle.

His sexy arrogance might have everyone else ensnared, but Molly’s already been there, done that. Now she’s immune. Or is she?

Is home really where the heart is?

Molly and Callan are at loggerheads from the moment they set eyes on each other. Molly’s quest for a quiet respite in her old home town is torn asunder when smartass Callan wields his power around the place. Two most unlikely characters, but cleverly brought together by Nash’s skilful storyline and sublime writing. A great read from start to finish.

I loved the story-line - the predicament of the heroine's parents, and the ensuing predicament of the hero and heroine was dealt with with great sensitivity.

5.0 out of 5 stars A New Adult Love story 14 October 2016

A little different from the other books in this series, with the main characters being university age. However that doesn't detract from what is an interesting story about a girl who is determined to save the stables where she spent so many happy hours as a child. Teem that with a sexy city boy and horses and this makes a lovely story.

Molly McLean had recently arrived back home to Bindarra Creek for the summer break – Oxley College in Armidale was only two hours away, but the two places were like chalk and cheese. Her home town, and especially the stables where she had worked since she was a thirteen year old, were her relaxing, peaceful place. Once owned by her grandfather, on his death five years previously her parents had sold the stables and most of the land to fund their motel in Bindarra Creek, which was now their home. But the motel and her parents were struggling financially – Molly knew that with the occurrence of the revitalisation of the township of Bindarra Creek, the motel needed to have a face lift as well. But convincing her mother was another thing; her dad was all for it though.

When Molly was mucking out the stables and smooching up to her big grey, Jed, she was shocked to see a stranger with the couple she had known for a lifetime. Callan Hunter was Matthew’s nephew from the city, and was helping around the place. As Molly learned of changes to the place she loved the most she was incredibly put out; angry even. Just because he was sexy and handsome didn’t mean she would come around to his way of thinking…

What could Molly do to save her beloved stables? And what was it that was causing her mother so much angst? She had always been a prickly person – Molly had no idea what to do…

Stolen Sanctuary by Aussie author Stacey Nash is another in the Bindarra Creek series. Made up of thirteen different episodes, by thirteen different authors but set in and around the fictional rural New South Wales town of Bindarra Creek, it’s a new and interesting way to write a series. I’m thoroughly enjoying it, and have no hesitation in recommending Stolen Sanctuary along with the others to all lovers of rural romance.
5.0 out of 5 stars An Enjoyable Read 3 June 2016
By D. Bray - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Molly is a girl who loves her horses, her friends, and her space. She loves going to spend time on her grandfather's land that has been sold by her mother to start a business. We watch as Molly, who always seems to march to the beat of her own drum, become vulnerable when loneliness strikes. Add in a sexy, rugged fellow by the name of Callan, and you have emotions clawing their way to the surface. We watch as Molly "runs away" from an emotional connection with Callan, and we watch him pursue her. We get to see Molly seeing the bigger picture of what her grandfather's land can do, a family betrayal, and a man who wants to stand by Molly. Dig into Molly's story!
A must read!
